WEnt out to my spot for bow season and hung a couple of stands. Even shot about 14 arrows out of one at a block target. 3 inch groups at 35 yards so I'm ready. As we were leaving we decided to drive the back part of the property. We crested a little hill and there stood a monster. He was about 3 inches past his ears and tall. Guessing around 150 to 160 but that may be on the short side. One of the biggest deer I've ever seen. We only got about 5 seconds to look and then he was gone. Probably a 5 year old deer. Big body and heavy mass. Best part was he was only around 500 yards from my stand and heading down a trail that leads by my stand. Never seen him before and his not on the trail cams. We have a couple of weeks before season so that is going to be my last visit to the property before season. Don't want to spoke him to bad. My heart was racing about 200 mph and I had trouble sleeping last night. Can't wait for 10/1
