  2. Re: bass pro problem ! Sorry to hear that. I allways have good luck at Basspro too. Have you looked at Gander or Dicks. Maybe try Basspro online. I buy a lot of stuff online from them and Cabela's. That situation can be real frustrating. Good luck with your search.
  3. Re: Wanted If you go online you can find instructions to make your own. I saw them one day but can't remember wear. Maybe try Archery Talk as well.
  4. Re: Bullet help I love the shockwave and the hornady. Can't go wrong with either
  5. Re: Harness or NO harness??? I never leave the ground without one. Odds are that you are going to fall at some point. I don't want someone explaining, to my son, why I'm not coming home or coming home in a wheel chair. I have a friend who's sister in law works at a hospital and she said she allways know's when it's hunting season because of all the neck and back injuies. I hope you reconisder and start wearing one. Even a basic one. It only takes one fall.
  6. Re: **WARNING** squirrels eat CUDDEBACKS!!! And that's why we shoot them.
  7. Re: SD memory cards It does work in the newer ones. I don't know about the ones older that two or three years ago. I just finished testing one for F&S and I remember it had an SD slot on the camera.
  8. Re: New Hunting Boots Also spray your carbon no scent spray in them. Wont hurt them, thats for sure
  9. Re: Shimano Stratic The one I am selling looks like that but it's the light blue version. Thanks for posting the picture. I am having trouble getting pictures to the forum.
  10. Re: certification Just finished my class. Good class. I got a lot out of it and had a good time doing so.
  11. I was just at the meijer by my house and found three 1 gig memory cards on clearance for 28.00. They had a regular price of 60.00. WOuld anyone be interested in them. 30.00 shipped will get you one. Great for Camera's and Trail camera's. I also picked up a 2 gig card and am looking to get 40 bucks for it. It was priced at 79.00. I bought everyone they had on clearance. I put them in my camera and they work fine. Thought I would give you all a chance before I ebay them. Let me know and thanks
  12. Re: NAW Last night That is why I got a DVR. I'm a single dad of a four year old and don't get to watch much during the week. I usually get caught up on the weekend. I actually have two. One is full of cartoons and in the living room and the one in my bedroom is for my hunting and fishing shows. The DVR is one of the best inventions ever.
  13. Re: Is nicer always better???? Nice is ok but there is something to be said about ruffing it. My favorite hunting memories are of my dad and I sleeping on cots in this guys garage. He allowed us to hunt his farm and would put a small space heater in his garage so we would have a place to stay. My dad would bring a cooler full of food and every morning would fill the crockpot with a roast and potatoes. Once you got close to the garage you could smell that food cooking and would start to drule. Everydog in the county would be sniffing around that garage and trying everything to get in. We had no luxuries at all but I allways thought we were kings. Those were the best hunting trips I ever took. Now that the kind farmer and my father have past it's just not the same.

    #5000

Re: #5000 Congrats, that an impressive number.
  18. I want to repost this because I am suprised no one was interested. I have a Shimano Stratic 2500 in Near new condition. No marks. Was my back up reel. I have had it for less than two years. 50 dollars shipped. These are usually in the 120's for price. I have three 4000's and just don't need the 2500.
  19. Re: What brand of trail cam should I buy? I tested four different ones for Field and Stream. The Leaf River is nice but a bit more money. Bushnell is not bad either. Cuddie back is good and I had no problem with my Stealth Cam. Like anything, each person is going to have their favorite that they are comfortable with. I would do digital though. With a memory card you can leave it out for a good while. Look in the Classified section here. You may be able to get a little nicer one for the money you have. I sold a couple hear and I have seen some others at a great deal. I think there is a couple in there now. Also, I look at customer reviews a lot too. I go online and find a place where they have posted some reviews and read through them. There is no substitute for honest customer reviews. Field and Stream is running the one I did in a month or so but that probably wont do you any good.
  20. Re: Good Grades = Hunting Privileges My Dad had the same rules and I was fine with it. It's a privlage to hunt and even more so on Private land. His teachers can give his parents an update on his grades at anytime. This would give you a good idea on where he is at for the youth hunt. I like the idea. No matter what he does, a good eduacation is important.
  21. Re: deer with big lumps on him It's not that uncommon actually. I could be a growth or a Tumor. Never harvested one so I'm not sure about the deer meat wise. I would call a local DNR biologist and check with them. If the Deer is sick it may need to be taken out of the wild. If it's just a growth then shoot away. Good luck either way
  22. Re: Where I will be opening day. *pics* I really like that setup. Nice shooting lanes too. Good luck.
  23. Re: certification I think that the course will be spreading in who needs it. In Indiana you have to have it to hunt certain land plus it's only 15.00 and I have no doubt I will learn something. I know a lot of places are starting to require it so I'll get it out of the way and then I will have it when I need it.
  24. I'm going to an international bowhunters certification class in the morning. I'm kind of looking forward to it. Has anyone been to one. What can I expect.
  25. Re: Is it possible? There about 2 bucks and the go on the string. Just about any store that sells hunting stuff will have them. I think I even saw some at wallmart.
