  1. Re: Hey Ladies! Read this! I am new to this and I am a guy but I just wanted to say I am happy to see several women in here. I have only hunted with two women and they were the most still and patient hunters I have ever seem. More guys should hunt with women. Very happy to see you all active in this great sport, good luck
  2. Re: exercises? When I can get out to shoot I stand in the middle of the bedroom and pull my bow back and hold it drawn for 30 seconds. Then I let it down and I do that 10 times. that way you still get the motion and workout on days you may not be able to shoot. My doctor is a big bow hunter and when I suffered a shoulder injury he told me to do that to get back in bow hunting shape
  3. Re: Israel and Hezbollah These terrorist don't just want to beat Isreal, they want to wipe them of the face of the earth. Isreal is a good friend and they have a right to defend themselves. You allways stand next to a good friend in a time of need. We need to stand next to Isreal. I don't want to see innocent people hurt but the other side doesn't seem to care about that.
  4. Re: muzzleloader help???? My first ML is the t/c omega. I have had no problems with it at all. It's easy to clean and very accurate. Great gun to have plus you can get some nasty long shots with it.
  5. Re: Well? I have been interested in putting some of that out but wasn't sure how well it works. I just put out some c'mere deer and will be checking my camera's on Saturday.
  6. Re: gloves? I get a better feel of the animal without gloves.
  7. Re: Custom Airel-Topo Maps-Cheap I am a big goggle earth guy and I recently found a great free topo website. topozone.com. great free maps to print.
  8. Re: Extra tags went up Indiana finally dropped the price of extra tags here. Now that you can basically shoot deer in your house. Several counties now have an 8 deer max and each county is seperate. If you wanted to you could shoot around 100 deer in one year. Way to many does is the problem. I try to shoot at least two every year but no a lot of people that refuse to shoot one. A trophy is a trophy.
  9. Re: Ground Blinds? On public land you need to find a place where the blind will blend in. They are nice in thick cover where there are no shotting lanes or where no good trees are. I have done well with them in gun season and ok in archery. They can be a good piece of equipment for you. I've covered mine with brush I found to make it blend in better. Usually try to make a pile of it while scouting and then it's there when I'm ready to come in. Try it before you discard it. Works great for Turkeys too. They don't seem to care to much.
  10. I am looking for help from my realtree forum friends. I purchased a used boat a few weeks back and it did not have an owners manual. I would love to get a copy of one without having to pay the crazy prices that the dealers want. It's a 70hp 81 johnson Seahourse 2 cycle. If anyone has one and would be willing to help a fellow fisherman and hunter, that would be great. I am looking to maybe get a copy of it or buy one from someone who no longer needs it. Thanks everyone
  11. Re: Looking for discount range finders I have a Bushnell and it works great. You can find them on Ebay really cheap. A new base model Bushnell at Dicks or Basspor is only 150.00
  12. Re: Whisker Biscuit Comment. This is my first year with the biscut as well and I love it. Couldn't be happier with the performance
  13. Re: Deer Hunting \'06 You are very lucky. We have a while to go still. GOod luck and post pictures.
  14. Re: grunt calls I picked up the tru talker at walmart and I really like the sound it makes. A nice range and it's easy to use. Thanks for the input everyone. I to am curious about the buck growl. I'll keep an I out for it at my walmarts
  15. Re: Deer Insense I have not. Usually just stick to the doe urine. Let us know if you do try it. I know I would like to know if it works
  16. Re: Throwing in the towel.... Good luck with the new stuff. I hate to see someone switch from traditional though. It's an art form that's for sure. You love the new technology in the componds though

    cabelas

Re: cabelas I agree. Between Cabela's and Bass Pro I am always out of money. I also have to Gander Stores within 30 mile each way. I need a lotto hit or something. In all seriousness, Cabela's is great and you will never have enough money to get all the great things you see in there. That's good though cause you can always come up with a reason to go.
  18. Re: GPS That's great information. Exactly what I'm looking for. Thanks for the input. Hoping to get two years out of it. Then the X series should be down in price.
  19. Re: Hunting land needed I'm in Indianapolis but my sister is a wildlife biologist at the L'vill zoo. I'm in the same boat. Can't really afford to lease and I have a son who will be ready in about two years. Trying to figure something out now so I can maybe have something in place when he is old enough.
  20. I am interested in meeting some new hunting buddies in Indiana. I enjoy hunting about anything that moves but I really love Deer, Turkey, and Duck. I hunt bow, shotgun and Muzzleloader. Been hunting for 29 years and I consider myself very safe and ethical. I hunt for the pure joy of it. Even a doe or a hen can be a trophy. How many other hoosiers are out there.
  21. Re: GPS I plan on picking up the instructional video for the one I get. There is to much to offer with the new units and I don't think I would get all of it on my own. I bet they have one for that unit as well. You might try the outdoor stores and if not then Amazon.com
  22. Re: GPS I was able to find them for less online. Still a little expensive but I hunt in some dense area and need the extra jump in range. I will be using it very soon and will post my experience
  23. Re: Bushnell Scopes The Bushnell Elite series rock. The rain gaurd feature is fantastic. I wish more scopes had it. They can run a little bit more but will last you a long time. The Cabela's Alaskan Guide is getting great reviews as well. I've not shot with one but I have'nt found a bad word about them either. Not to bad on price either
  24. I've got my GPS choices down to the Garmin 60cs and the 60csx. Does anyone have anything to say about those two, good or bad. I would love to hear your imput, thanks
  25. Re: Great Night of Television I also have a digital recorder and tape all the show's I want and then get caught up after my son goes to bed. Roadtrip is good and so is the Jim Shockey show. North American Whitetail and some others also cut the cake. The Outdoor Channel is the greatest thing going.
