  1. If they're Tasco rings, I think they are metric allen heads, Leupold are torqs, most of the others are usually SAE. I've run into that also.

    Horrible discovery

I can get away with not wearing mine, can see good away, not so good up close. (bi-focals). I know years ago when I was racing, they had come out with a anti-fog wipe/spray for the visors. Might Google some racing products/helments to see if you can come up with something.
  3. Anyone going to be using the 460 s&w this season? Has anyone used a 460 on deer? If so, how's it perform? What was you using? (bullet & weight).
  4. Congrats there son- that's something to very proud of! GOOD JOB !!
  5. Walk in, hand her the fish. Say with a big smile on your face " HAPPY ANNIVERSARY DEAR, here's supper, go gett'r ready for our, I'll be cleaning up my fishing gear". "OH, bring me a beer before you get the fish smell on your hands".
  6. stay calm, relaxed breathing, eyes fixed on point of aim (NOT THE ANTLERS), ease the release. G O O D L U C K !!
  7. Bet they had a hard time sleeping that night, every russle of the leaves, then, you hear a twig snap, then heavy breathing.........
  8. Bet anything, there's more to the story. I wouldn't put it past the parents on prompting the kid to go over and get a autograph ! specially if you dress him up with a cap, shirt, etc.. as a way of "here's this in your face"
  9. Nothings easy anymore! I was looking to get away from cable, AND, trying to see which was best. I told them as long as it had some outdoor recreational (hunting/fishing) I'd be happy. The guy with direct was"the Outdoor Channel will be gone within 2yrs", we have the MOR channel which has more and better. Luckily, I got busy and was unable to get things started, then I heard MOR was discontinued. So... I'm going to wait to see who's going to have what and let things settle.
  10. Somethings a stray, I'd contact the Dept. of Labor on the state level first, and even on the federal level, if you were a contract laborer, there should have been a contract/agreement on what was to be done and what time frame. Also wouldn't hurt to talk to a good lawyer, cause if they were bending your rights, you could seek compansation.
  11. If you a able to order and have them shipped to you, try midwayusa.com.
  12. My choice- 30-06. Alot of versatility in bullet weights for different game.
  13. I have a Encore pistol in 460 S&W mag. that I'm thinking on using .
  14. I myself only use Buck, I have 4. I started carrying one 30 yrs ago (still have/use it). These days there are a lot of variations out there. The biggest things to check on, blade sharpness, keeping an edge, weight/balance, durability (at hinge). Good Luck in your pursuit!
  15. I had a pair of the Stalkers years ago, wore them for a long time. When I was getting ready for a Colorado elk hunt, went shopping, none of the Rockys impressed me. Plus I had heard that the newer boots sores weren't holding up. Irish Setters felt comfortable and held up good so far.

    Caption game.....

This is what happens when you don't pay attention to the "KEEP YOUR WINDOWS UP" signs at the southern redneck drive thru SAFARILAND!!
  17. Haven't been over there for over 5+yrs. That's when I started using RT on all my outers, and that's the only thing I'll use (RT) !! Haven't been on to many other forums, this is my favorite! Thanks RT!!
  18. Hey strut ! Looks good !! Will set up a pix once the NEW encore 460 comes in!
  19. Haven't used 357, but 44mag with hornaday jhp/xtp, it worked good. Make sure not to have a high shot placement, no blood trail (lung cavity will fill). Good Luck!!
  20. Man,,,, have a committment for that weekend. I'm going to try to break away so I can attend. Keep you fingers crossed!
  21. Hey stick- GOOD LUCK, first of all, I was a 1st timer last Nov (3rd season rifle). You should be able to have some luck with the calls yet in catching the tail end of the rut. One important thing, get comfortable with the rifle you plan to use and practice......Get in shape !! You are already accustom to the elevation, go up & down the hillsides so if you need to get up higher quick you can.
  22. One here, back in '74. Scouting is real spotty in this area now. Kids don't have values and more, parents to busy with their lives to care. Real shame. Whats worse, is some of the public, when you mention about being a Eagle Scout, are like SO?
  23. Why were they keep on dropping that thing?? We use those for squirrel hunting & plinking here. About 100 rounds an outing !
  24. Yeppeee, Yappeee, Yahooooooooy !!!!!!!
