  4. Re: What brand of smoker do you recommend [ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] My buddy wants to get a smoker and he asked me for advice. I know little about smokers so I said I would ask the experts. He would like to smoke ham and turkey for sandwich meat plus occasionally make jerky. What brand do you recommend and should he get gas or electric? [/ QUOTE ] Well my dad is a smoker do you want him, he sometimes has gas and can fix eletric things [/ QUOTE ]ROFLMAO

  6. Re: 5 degrees in the morning!!! Whew, I made it back!! I went with a couple buddies of mine. Had a great time, only killed one Black Duck, I never fired the gun, but the drink was hot, the stories were great, and the company was second to none!!

    Leanna's 06 buck

Re: Leanna\'s 06 buck Nice Buck!! Congrats to Leanna!!
  10. Re: Theres no reason not to manage!!!!!!! Nobody here mentions even talking to the neighbors. If everybody assumes that the neighbors aren't for it it never will happen. The neighbors probably want a better deer herd too but say, "the neighbors shoot anything."
  11. and I'm taking the skiff out on the river for my last WI duck hunt this year!! If I don't write back in a day or two send help this spring!!!

  15. Re: First Photos from my Cuddeback Camera! [ QUOTE ] That is an awesome buck! As hard as it may be that deer definitely has another year or two to grow. I would give him one more year, even though if he appeares through your scope it is easier said than done. [/ QUOTE ]Yeah,......I have to agree, I sure would like to see your picture with him next year!! The problem is you would have to have more will power than me cause..............I'd have to shoot him!!!
  16. Re: 12-01-06 8 Point That's a good one!!

    First time

    Re: First time Welcome aboard!!
  21. Re: .270 or .270 WSM I'd go with the WSM. The WSM is balistically almost identical to the 7 mag. It actually will out perform the 7 mag. with a 150gr. Winchester supreme bullet by a little bit. It shoots just a bit flatter and has just a bit more downrange energy than the 7 Mag. The only thing I've heard bad is that some people are having a hard time getting a good consistant pattern with them. I wish you could buy factory loads of 140gr. bullets just to see if that would help with the consistancy. Good Luck, let me know what you decide.
  22. Re: expensive call quesion Have you ever blown a short reed call? If you have by all means yes they are great calls and worth the cash. If not, try a Tim Grounds or something cheaper first. I don't know you or your situation but an expensive call doesn't mean they are easier to use. Good Luck!!

    Take a Guess

Re: Take a Guess No clue but, don't they have a shelf life of like 7 years
  24. Re: Flashlight? Have you tried a good old fashioned coleman lantern? Put some tin foil halfway around the globe to keep the light out of your eyes and it works great. It's also nice to hang it a tree while you are field dressing your deer after you find it.
