  1. I just orderd 2 I60's and i regret it. I should have bought 2 Stealth prowlers. The Daytime pictures are a TAD better with the I60 but the night time are much better with the Stealth. The Stealth is eazier to get the SD card out in the field, So i spend the least time around the area as posible.
  2. Oh geez, if i see him im flinging n arrow in him forsure if i get the chance, last fall he was showing himself during daylight hours all the time. This year according to my trail cam he hasn't. But time will tell
  3. We dont get giants here. Thats a 5 1/2 to 6 1/2 year old deer. If i harvest this deer it will be the biggest deer we harvested on are land in 25 years. The pictures dont really do him justice, he has ALOT of mass on his horns. I figured he was a 135-140" deer, Because the body is so big it makes him look like he has a smaller rack.
  4. I have allways hunted with leupold everything, range finder, scope, binoc. After you hunt with leupold i dont even bother looking at other brands.
  5. oh by the way the last picture there his eating c'mere deer. And the other pictures his eating rye grass. First year growing it and the deer seam to love it. Oh and pictures we;re taken with a Stealth cam Prowler
  6. Well for a lil short story, im in canada and where i am there isn;t meny 120+ deer because of very heavy hunting. I first layed my eyes on this deer last fall. Last fall he scored 124 at as a 8 pointer (have his sheds) Now this year his a 10point. What u think he scores now? Also keep in mind this is a canadien deer, not a 200lbs deer
  7. im also canadien, northern ontario
  8. Are you saying there is no protein value in corn? We feed corn to are cows in the winter because of the protein value in corn. where i hunt shich is about 3 hours from here they wont eat anything in bails unless theres snow. Alpha bails will just rott there. But they will hit the corn full blast.
  9. Im in a location with bairily any deer. I have maybe 5 deer staging up on my property for the winter (northern canada). We use to have lots of deer but they are just starting to move back in the past 5 years or so. Well now i got some on my land. I know there is 1 big buck, 1 spike 1 doe and 1 fawn. There might be other deer that i dont know about but theres not very meny. Im going to feed them alfa bails all winter, with a mix of clover bails and corn here and there. They feed in the big clover field we have all summer long. I was wondering what else i can feed them or supplement them here to next fall to make them grow bigger horns. Also keep them where i want them. Another question i got is that them having a good healthy winter does that matter on horn size? or is it just what they eat in the spring time? Here are winters are pretty brutal, we allready have 3 feet of snow or more.
  10. Just for a update for thoes who saw my other post on the buck i spooked twice. I went hunting the same location 6 days after and he came back out into the field, 2 out of 3 hunts but came out at the other end of the field (20 yards from the stand i normaly hunt) i moved to the other side of the field because this deer was comming out. On saterday night he came within 60 yards from me and for some reason turned around and slowly ate his way out of the field. No clue what made him turn around, just another one of his 9 lives i think cuz there is no way he winded me because he was comming towards me with a tail wind.
  11. Its on privite land so the only human contact that deer will have is me. He dosn;t seam to mind the ATV because we had passed there a bunch of times with the ATV. Im normaly very carful with scent but for some reason this year im slacking. Mostly because theres some guys i know that smoke in there stands and dont care what so ever about scent and there killing monster deers. I believe in scent proofing tho. Its going to be exactly 6 days before i go back up there to hunt, This buck seams to be very loving of this field, he is there morning and night. Also what im scared is if he goes on the next property over, because his very close to the line. I think this is the buck i shot and missed last years rifle hunt. I hope this is not the start of my 14pointer all over agen, took me 3 years before i got him.
  12. I first found out about this buck when i went in a field to put feed in one of my feeders. I was comming in the feild with my atv when i spoted 2 deers at the other end of the field. Then in the corner of my eye i spoted a nice 140-150 class buck running away at about 80 yards, he had a small 8 point with him. That was the first time i spooked him out of the field. This was at 6pm. The next morning i hung a stand where i saw him, theres a big big bedding area behind my stand. I thought forsure he would come out of there to come eat in the field, So i came in from the other end of the feild and did a L to my treestand so by the time he would walk to where i passed it was 2 late. Well guess what he came from the other way. Him and the smaller buck got to where i walked (60yards) and as soon as they got there they seamed very uneaze and they turned around and just trotted away. Even stoped and gave the lookback to add insualt. This was at 9am. I think what happen is the first night i left my boots in the porche and there was a dog that slept in the porche. This was 2 days before it happend, not sure if my boots would still smell. He uses the same trail all the time, my question is is he gonna stop using that trail now? or maybe just use it at night?
  13. im in a area that bucks are maybe 1 for every 10 does, u think rattling is infective since they dont need to fight for does because theres allready 2meny that alot of them dont get serviced.
