  1. First deer hunt of the year, not life. Got lots of ducks and 2 bears down so far this year
  2. What all these guys are saying can't be truer. Where i am deer have played the game and are very smart, My trail cams are lite up with pictures during the day time when we arn;t there. As soon as theres ANY pressure no more daytime walking. Sure you might get younger deer during the day but thats not what i and most ppl are looking for. Find out where they bed and go there early in the morning and try to catch one comming in a bit late. For example i have one spot on my property for some reason i got tones of bucks in there in november, And since july of my trail cam being up i havn;t seen any nice buck in a place i see them all the time later in the fall. Point being try hunting a bed area insted of a feeding if its not working, or Really close to one and try to catch one sneaking out or in. I personaly like to go right in the middle and catch them comming in in the morning.
  3. Didn;t even know they came out, Havn;t even worn them yet. Tomorow morning will be my first time on stand!!! Can't wait!!!!

    Rage ?

i find that odd that it would leave a big hole with no blood? my jackhammer wasp leave monster holes and blood trails a blind retard could follow
  5. I heard somthing yesterday and found it wierd. I was told that scent-lok has a patton oh carbon clothe and every scentblocker item sold a royalty has to be payed to scent-lok. Any truth to that?
  6. The going in earlier is debatable. I somtimes like going in at light because when you can see where your walking you can be alot more sillent walking and make less noise climing the tree. Where i hunt its a dry swamp so its full of lil branches on the ground so walking in the dark makes for some loud walking. Also for for some reason me personaly i walk faster in the dark then i would in light, hence more noise. Also if your hunting with a gun i esp like going in when its a bit light because then insted of spooking thoes deers around your stand when your walking then you can shoot them. In the rut i dont go in my tree tell 9am.
  7. I normaly dont like hunting creek beds if theres running water you can hear. Last year i hunted a creek bottom and all i could hear was the water running. Kinda took away one of my tools to spot deer and get ready. Drove me nutz anyways, last time i hunted there.
  8. Scentblocker boots? how do i recharge thoes?
  9. i shoot a excalibur exomax (350fps). I havn;t shot rage yet but i did shoot wasp hammer heads. I never had any problems with them opening premature. I think the wasp would be a tad more reliable for us crossbow guys because you have to open all 3 blades at the same time insted of the rage you can open just one blade. But im gonna try the rage this year and i will post my feedback (going out this weekend)
  10. Thanks thats good info E1 E2 E3 it is
  11. Also another question. I just bought 3 new scent blocker suits (not worn yet) Should i wash them since im sure they been handled a bit b4 i got them. I bought Dead down wind clothe wash, carbon reactivator, Dryer sheets and field spray. So should i wash them with reactivator? And then pop them in the dryer with the dryer sheets? Should i was Wash them with the clothe wash then dryer sheets? OR should i just pop them in the dryer? ORRR should i pop them in the dryer only with the DDW dryer sheets? CONFUSING!!!!!!! I also put everything in scentblocker duffle bags after being washed.
  12. I been using scent blocker for 3 years now, I allways cleaned it with a "hunting clothe wash" But from reading more they say you can just pop your stuff in the dryer and it will recharge your carbon? But they sell all these carbon reactivators, And some big names say not to do that because it brings down the life spand of the carbon? Geez im all confused now on what 2 do. Dryer only or carbon activator? and wash clothe as least as posible? I would allways clean my clothe every time id use it !!! I put this in the bow section because thats all i do is bow hunt

    Rage ?

What you guys think of the new rage 3 blade 1 1/2? I been using wasp hammer's 1 3/4's for the longest time and just switched to rage but havn;t shot them in a deer yet? anybudy have any feedback?
  15. Kinda funny hearing that since im a personal trainer/ bodybuilder. I personaly would be doing it just for the fact of giving me a better chance of killing that deer of a life time. Thanks for you thoughts tho
  16. Time released scent icecubes!!!!! w000:D
  17. Thats intresting stuff, It kinda eazes my mind on the idea of driving the ATV. We been driving the ATV's around the property for 25 years and the same goes for all the guys with the land around us. Plus i go put corn around my stand every week for the last lil while with the ATV. So hopfully there use to it by now. Im geting good deer on my trail cam The thing i was worried about the most was geting scent of the ATV on me. Cuz im sure there not use to smelling a ATV up in a tree I use Dead down wind everything, anybudy try this? I use to use Scentkiller
  18. I would be geting dropped off and picked up. I wouldn;t drive the atv then walk across the field. That would tottaly be pointless as for i dont wanna leave my scent trail going right across the field Plus have the scent of the ATV posibly on me. Shoot myself in the foot 2 times there
  19. haha the peddle bike is actualy a good idea, But in my case wouldn;t be 2 good. Got lots of hills and such. I gotta get dropped off pretty much right at the treestand, because of the way my lot is made i have to walk trew a swamp or in the middle of the field and im not swimming My biggest worry was the scent i got from the ATV seating on it. I go trew all these steps to make sure my clothe is tottaly scent free to go seat on a ATV. Im a weekend hunter and bring 2 scentblocker suits to hunt the 2 days. haha maybe a lil 2 hardcore
  20. IF its posible to set up 2 tree stands just set it up for 2 diffrent winds, and opening morning hunt the correct one for the wind.
  21. I allways wonderd this, and i get nobudy will have the real awnser to it but id like to hear ppls thoughts on it. What do u think is better geting sombudy to drive you to your treestand or walking there, Also the scent from seating on the ATV, spraying AFTER geting off the ATV worst then just walking over there and sweating? Also another thing i wonderd is, I normaly hunt in field and 90% of the time after dark theres deer in the field and i come out of my stand and spook them. What would be better sombudy comming to pick me up and spooking them with the ATV or me walking trew the field?
  22. Dont sound 2 intresting to me, paintballs you gotta hit somthing. If u miss the tree for some reason? or dont have any big trees around? bahhhh
  23. Geez i wish my leupold Vx-7L and GoldRing binoc we're that price
  24. i bought some luminoks for this year, shot them on targets seam to work great. I havn;t had any problems with them yet. Only problem i had to clean the top of the arrow a bit better so it would ground better. But thats my fault (not reading the instructions) who needs thos
  25. wow i never saw them eat somthing so fast. I woulda hunted the new bait
