all great advice on scent control here. i am also a believer in scent wafers along with your clothes in a scent free bag or tote. this is an easy and great way to keep you clothes smelling like the woods.
as far as scouting goes...start by reading. this time of year every major deer magazine has articles on how to scout during the early season. spend time looking on maps and make sure you spend a lot of time on foot out in the woods. understanding where you hunt is the best information you can have as a hunter. during the months of July and August you will want to do most of your scouting. this is also a great time to get out and see some deer which will pump you up for the season ahead.
