    Huge buck!!

Wow they are both giants, very cool. That first deer is un real
  5. Very Bizarre, the odds of finding that many that close together have to be slim to none
  6. Awesome Flathead, that fish has a monster belly. I have never broke 56 pounds on flatheads running lines but i have been and hand garabbed one that weighed 72 pounds. But never an 80. Congratulations
  7. Aight team whats up. whats the scoop on everybody
  8. We have one and as another poster said they are worth their weight in gold, i doubt you are able to find one in the 200 dollar range, we either have a stihl or a husqvarna(sp), its orange and will chew up some limbs. What ever you have to pay i promise you want regret it.
  9. Buckee that grass blind is as good as it gets. I have a double bull and have yet to kill out of it. My experience would be to definitely brush it in very very well, keep your distance from the trail and put it in way ahead of time. Basically just what everyone else said, i have done much better sitting on buckets in my CRP fields than i have with the blind
  10. Any body on the team still chasin em. Havent heard anything in a while
  11. Sorry to hear that, thank goodness you were not more seriously injured. I had a friend shoot his toe off in a similar manner with a shotgun. Definitely stick around and maybe you can still get some enjoyment out of the season.
  12. i know a couple of guys who have gone up there the past two years. They have had nothing but good things to say about it. Definitely some giants

  21. Re: Season is going good!! Congrats, i enjoyed your story as well
  22. Re: TURKEY TEAM #9 Hang in there with em everybody. I have been 2 or 3 times since i killed that turkey but havent had anyluck, i just read the rules and saw that you can only enter the first turkey you kill so i guess i have done all i can do. I have been getting pics of a bird on one place that i hunt that is probably a better bird than the one i got. But i will still post him up if i can ever get him, he seems to just randomly show up between 12:00-6:00 in the afternoon. I hunted him this morning and left at nine to drive back for an 11 o clock class and my grandfather called me at one and said he pulled in the gate and he was standing there by my camera. He will be in trouble if he doesnt change his pattern by the weekend cause i aint ashamed to wait him out. Im ready for all of yalls seasons to open so i can start seeing some jelly heads. Good Luck to everybody getting out this week and weekend
  23. Re: What is your total number of whitetail sheds this locked up on 13 myself, and i think i have found all i can
  24. Re: TURKEY TEAM #9 Iabow, our spring so far has been super hot and caused an early greenup, our temps have been tying the highs since records were kept nearly everyday. Been 80-86 for the past two or three weeks here. Does make for some beautiful scenery though
  25. I got a chance to hunt again this morning and drove to a place i just got permission to hunt. I worked a bird there sunday morning and ended up slipping to within 40 yards of him strutting with some hens but couldnt get a shot due to some brush and a ridgetop that kept concealing him. Anyway this morning he was hammering about 150 yards off the field from my previous encounter. I eased in and set out a hen decoy and listened to him rumble the woods til about 6:45. I threw a tree yelp to him and he cut it off so i waited a minute or so and did a fly down with my hand and followed it up with one light yelp series. He answered it and i could tell he was on the ground. I waited 5 minutes and yelped to him one more time and he gobbled about 50 yards out on the edge of the field. I never called again and he entered the small field and started struttin side to side until he eventually got to about 20 yards. He gobbled three different times in my face and i took him out at 16 steps. I have been paranoid about shooting high so i held a little low and the lower part of my pattern basically de bearded him. He still had some strands left that hit 8.5 inches, he weighed 18.5 pounds and both spurs are right at 7/8 of an inch. It was awesome to have him gobble like that so close and it was nice to get this goose egg off of me since i didnt kill a bird last year. This is my first ever textbook hunt and my 4th ever turkey. Also called him in using a mouthcall which i have been practicing with and this was my first time to ever use it in the field. He was floppin on the ground by 5 minutes after seven Here is a picture to just show how much beard i blew off, im a little bummed out about that but the thrill was in the hunt anyway and i still have a little beard left, and i also saved all the strands and put them in a rubber band to remind me to aim higher[]
