  1. Good luck to ya. You'll love it, especially once they start gobbling.
  2. Team #5 Beard 10 3/4" Spurs are 1 1/16" The angle of the one pic is deceiving on the length. Let me know if you need a new pic. I should have reviewed them after I took them. Weight is 20.76 on the pictured digital scale
  3. The Indian Creek choke tube and the Hevi Blend work wonders for any gun. This bird was at 45 yards and he had too many holes in his head and neck to count.
  4. Great pics. They are a great success story for game management in the USA. Love to hunt them and share the experience with others.
  5. The heck with paperwork, here are a couple pics.
  6. Layin the hammer in deed, Team 5 is on the board. Likely 3 year old bird. 20.76 lbs 10 3/4" beard 1 1/16" spurs I'll post pics when I get a chance.......I just got back from a squad call and have a ton of paperwork. Happy Easter everybody!
  7. Got the sister in law a gobbler Wednesday afternoon. My birds wouldn't separate when she counted to 3 so I ended up jump shooting at the one. I was holding the window flap up with my lead hand too so upon detonation, I was educated on why you should keep both hands on a turkey gun loaded with 3 1/2" Hevi Blend. I'll post pics of my face eventually.
  8. Dandy bird. Wow is that heavy for such a winter. We haven't seen one over 20lbs 3oz. killed this spring. You whacked a big ole Tom. Congrats.
  9. Have an inch or two of snow forecasted for overnight. My season starts Wednesday. High of 42 and overcast so I think the birds will be a little subdued but we'll see. Just lined in my Gobblestopper Red dot. Holds point of aim well so far even after a few 3 1/2" attention getters. My Kent/Win./Fed. loads all shoot well but can't compete with the Hevi Blend of 5,6,7s. Crazy tight at 43yds.
  10. These two young hunters fresh out of Hunter Safety Class connected on a couple dandy gobblers yesterday and this morning. A big shout out to Andy (Bowhunter56) who used to be on the forums here. His calls are the bomb!
  11. About 2". Just got back in from day two of the Learn To Hunt. Put two kids on two toms. Lots of fun.
  12. My week starts April 16th. We first have our Learn to Hunt program this weekend with 30+ kids going out. Lots of snow cover yet and we are getting a mix of rain/sleet/snow right now. Hope the birds cooperate.
  13. More "springy" like the 5" of heavy wet snow we woke up to this morning. We have a ton of snow left with no real signs of going away soon. Deer and turkeys are out and about all time of the day searching for food. They are in dire need for spring.
  14. Its always good to hear from you. Enjoy your summer.
  15. Anyone successful last year? How is your weather looking?
  16. That is awesome buddy. Your efforts and pride are very commendable!
  17. Ironic me and Marty on the same team. Your old gun will hopefully do ya proud buddy.
  18. I'm here. I have the first week April 16th. Will have a ton of snow yet and VERY skinny birds. Terrible winter for them and the deer up here. Heck, we don't even have a temp over 40F forecasted for the next 10 days. Blizzard warning out to the west of us. What a winter.
  19. I checked some of it out. Great consolidation of info.
  20. I was hoping to start a thread so forum members close to the Unconstitutional Gun Grabbing in Connecticut and other Northeastern States could keep us informed as to what is going on up there. I and countless others are following this closely and want to be educated with the facts. Please feel free to post away so this monumental time can be accurately followed. Thanks.
  21. It was -21 this morning. I don't know who is laughing harder, Mother Nature or Old Man Winter! The Easter Bunny already froze to death. We have only 3 near 30F days forecasted over the next 14 days. Records are being crushed all over the place.
  22. In a way these are "man made disasters" like the term libs like to throw around. Man settled his nest in areas without the respect of what Mother Nature is capable of. A roll of the dice per say. When Ma Nature comes rollin into town, people are all surprised when she devastates the things in her path, be it mudslides, tornadoes, hurricanes, earthquakes, flood waters, wildland fires, etc. We will never know everything there is to know about the earth, especially if we can't apply common sense to the facts of history!!! "Global Warming" or "Climate Change" are not the appropriate terminology to use in these circumstances.......ignorance and complacency are!
