The owner of the property I hunt is ALWAYS cutting trees trees on the hardwood ridge. It looks like a bomb went off in there. Its a mess and kind of a pain sometimes, but in the long run it will be good. The wide open woods do the deer no good and the tops will help feed them in the winter....Other than that, and food plots, we dont do much. We have a few small apple trees, but they wont be producing many apples for a while.

That was my original thought, I asked an employee and she confirmed that those items were not for sale....I dont get it.

We had gone to the Hallmark store to get a Christmas gift for my girlfriends mom. She collects a certain kind of ornament with the year on it. We were surprised to see that all the Christmas related things had signs that said "Christmas items not for sale".....I dont have a business degree, but I would think this is the time of year you would sell the most of that stuff... I agree 110%. Thats what they had in Favre for the majority of the season. If they cant get the run game going, they are going to have to rely on Brett trying to pull rabbits out of a hat....which he can do, but its also easy to get burned that way. But its hard to manage a game when they are playing catch up the whole time. That D needs to stiffen up and use the talent they have.

Harris did not play well in the NFC Champ game the Pack lost. I think thats all RUTTNSTRUT is saying. Funny its ok to blame Brett, statistcally one of the better QB's in the league, for losing the game because of a bad throw. But heaven forbid anybody say that another player played poorly and that contributed to the loss. And I do agree that Harris and Woodson are some of the top CB in the league, but everyone has a bad game. And to keep this thread on track....I will say the Vikes better shape up...All of them, if they want to make it past the first round in the playoffs. Im sure Brett will get most of the blame, but nobody played well, and there was some poor coaching in the last two Vikes games. Go Pack!!:D

Sometimes the challenge for crappies is finding them....Around here they could be in 5ft or 20ft of water. If you are able to get yourself a sonar/flasher unit (vexilar, marcum etc), they are a tremendous help.

I like Gold Shiners for Bass/Pike. Under a tip-up. I like to use small fatheads on tip-up at nite for crappies. On a jiggin rod I use a jig and minnow or a jig with a small plastic tail designed for small ice jigs.

Dont know if you would have heard it from that far away. Thats a pretty good poke at last light. If you didnt find any blood or hair anywhere in the area it sounds like a clean miss. If you really think you hit him, all you can do is keep looking.
