Cold will not hurt your camera, just shortens battery life so I always try to keep the spare inside my jacket for warmth............As for steady shooting while walking, there are a couple of options, one is to get a shoulder support and use it for stalking, the other is to carry the tripod with you and always be ready to deploy it at the moment of truth, you will get only static shots with the tripod, but the footage will be more stable. Stores such as B&H photo/video carry shoulder supports for all types of video cameras. Good luck!

Big 10 Point What will he score???
lungbuster12point06 replied to OHbuckeye1's topic in Photography & Video
Great tine and beam length but lacks the mass to put him in the 150's...........I would say he will gross about 146. Kill him and let us know what he scores..........or wait til next year when he just might go close to boone. -
Check out this video:http://bloodbro.com/store/details.php?prodId=25&category=2 It will change the way you hunt period! but most importantly it will guide you through scouting and locating bucks in the marshes and swamps.

I would enlist the help of a good proshop..........last year i had a tear left I could not get out of my bow..........took it to the proshop and after more than an hour of fine tuning the rest and tweaking the y-cable, we realized the string had stretched just enough to cause the tune issue, after a new winner's choice string and cables it was shooting bullets again.

Big carp and fast water...........

They were in the boat. -
It was all fun and games till I lost my cap and nearly my life!  I told rick not to shoot in that dang current!!!!!! Well he's the story............................... I met up w/Ken about 2 and we took off to kill some more monster buffalo (he had started w/o me earlier in the day and killed around 12-14) They were thick as thieves for the first 20 minutes or so, every shot producing a good 15-25 pounder! Then it started to sprinkle and the fishing slowed way down, we had killed about 8 or10 by this point..........Just as I was about to call it , I noticed a police officer approaching me.......I walked up the bank to him to see what the trouble was: "It's illegal" he says........."what" I say......"shooting carp from the bank here"   As he took out his note pad I thought for sure I was getting a ticket! But, he was actually quite decent about it and explained that if I were in the water I would be fine to shoot anywhere in the city limits, but from shore was a no-no..........he went on to say that he could care less about it, but someone had called us in and he had to come down and investigate.........he let us go with a warning  Soooooooo Ken,Zack and I headed for more "legal" waters, but the carp we very uncooperative and we headed back to Ken's house to put more "stink" in the trailer Well it just so happened that Rick's daughter was over playing with Ken's daughter and Rick showed up to pick her up and hopeing to shoot some carp...........well he had the bright idea to use Ken's canoe and paddle into the slack water near the spot we had been slaying them earlier in the day..........I was game, so off we went.......we reached the slack and there were commons sucking air everywhere, hundreds if not THOUSANDS of them! We manuevered into position and shot at the same time into a big school, DOUBLE!!!!! This is gonna be awesome I thought........we moved on to the next big group, but as we got close they spooked  From then on every bunch we got anywhere remotely close to spooked.........Sooooooo Rick gets the bright idea to try and pull our way up the current to where the huge buffalo hang out (mind you this is high water raging from a dam) as we pulled (hand over hand on the bank) our way up the fast water i could see huge tailing buffaloes waiting to get arrowed..........the problem was at this point I was getting green around the gills (combination of being alittle dehydrated and standing in a canoe in raging water trying to spot fish) I said there is no way I can shoot I think I'm gonna puke.......so being the friend I am I held the boat to the bank, while Rick stood and watched for carp......just as i was about to say there is no way you will get any fish landed in this current, "Fish!" and with that Rick loosed the string and struck paydirt, RIGHT IN THE MIDDLE OF THE FAST WATER!!!!!!! just as the slack line ran out I said" get your butt on the seat we're going for a ride!!!!!!" With that the front of the canoe turned so fast you'd have thought he stuck a whale! Down river we went at break neck speed............mind you the fish turned upstream and had us going SIDEWAYS through the whitecaps! Luckily we had the stabilizer on or we would have swamped it before we made it that far.....As we headed for a post in the water, I grabbed the only thing I could to try and turn the canoe and save the front from damage, well it just so happened the fish surged at the same moment i grabbed some solid limbs and the canoe canted dangerously sideways and started to take on water, losing my cap in the process I counter leaned to try and right the sinking vessel.............All the while Rick was trying to land the 18 pound fish! Well all's well that ends well and the fish was landed and we didn't flip the boat, but I was no less green around the gills after the ordeal  We continued to fish the slack water but to no avail the sun was setting and the fish were hiding, so we paddled back across the current and called it a night. Luckily Ken got the whole crazy event on video      (BTW I want all the footage so I can destroy it Ken!)

Trout fishing the driftless area
lungbuster12point06 replied to lungbuster12point06's topic in Photography & Video
It is long..........almost a full 30 mins. but I edited it in such a way as to feel more like a TV show than a short video clip. So yes if you're not prepared to watch a full show the video is probably not for you. -

We hit a patch of water that was flooded marsh..........full of giant water pigs! Some guys chose to wade in The first of many nice carp Cool shot sequence Another just before the storm hit The storm!!!!!!!! We were all lucky to get back on shore before the monsoons started up with 1/4-1/2" hail and driving rains with wind gusts in excess of 60 mph! :yikesgif (ok maybe I exaggerate just a bit  ) And the biggest fish of the day We had well over 200lbs. of fish just in one tub........I think all totaled there were 11 of us shooting on Sat. and I believe we all slayed a combined weight near 350-400 lbs. of Fillet O' Fish...er , I mean carp! BTW this was the first annual www.BloodBro.com Carpfest, as all the participants are members of the forum.
