  1. Went out and changed the card out and moved the camera to another location near the first stand we put up. If this is a sign of what the other bucks in the area are like, :obut, It also means 2 weeks until season starts and bucks are still in full velvet.
  2. Let's not give SM all the credit for idiocy, NAACP people deserve it too. http://www.cnn.com/2007/US/law/08/22/vick/index.html
  3. Just put this up a couple days ago. I will be getting cards to change out instead of bringing the camera back and forth.First night we got 8 shots. This is the best of them.
  4. My hunting partner showed up this evening with a Digital trail cam. So we found what we figure will be a good location near were we have some of the corn out. I will see what has been working so much at our corn piles. We spooked some turkeys out of their roost while we were putting corn out at my stand location. So yeah we are getting pretty excited. kingfisher
  5. Season starts here in NC on Sept. 8th. Saturday we put more corn out. While walking out we spooked a buck that looked like it might be a shooter. Yesterday we went out to a friends and shot our bows from his elevated deck. It was the first time I shot my bow since I added the kisser. I was shooting 2" groups. I'm pretty Excited to say the least kingfisher
  6. Well, I just put one on my bow about a week and a half ago. Only problem I'm seeing is that my groups are getting tighter and I'm shooting vains off.
  7. We can bait in NC. I have corn out as I write this. I will be putting more out tomorrow. I have a pretty small corner of the woods near my house that I have hunting access too. So, I have put bait out in hopes that the deer will see my corner of the woods as a place that has a good food supply. In addition, There are plenty of oak trees in this area of the woods. Our season starts Sept. 8 until Nov.5th I believe. Then Gun starts. I think that putting the corn down is getting the deer moving to a section of the woods that Later I will be hunting for them over Acorns. So I put out corn, What difference is there in putting a food source out. IMHO, This is similar to hunting a food plot, or setting up in the oaks when the acorns fall, or on the edge of the Orchard, or Still hunting a Corn field. You go were the deer are going to feed, or you put feed out where you can hunt. When I lived in MI, I had access to a fantastic set of farms with Corn, Soy Beans, Apple Orchard, Oak trees, Bedding areas streams. It was a deer heaven and I never needed bait. Deer were always moving to different food sources. kingfisher
  8. Thanks everyone. It is quite a welcome. Any other NC hunters around, I'm in the Peidmont triad area.
  9. Morning everyone, I'm a new member here at realtree.com forums. I grew up hunting in the woods that were around my parents house. About 6 years ago I picked up a compound Reflex BigHorn. Took a nice 9pt. that season up in Michigan. Last Christmas I bought a slightly used Hoyt magnatec z200. I put a WiskerBiscuit on as a new rest. Shooting Beman ICS400's with Rocky 100G broad heads. I am pretty excited about hunting this year. I moved to NC about 5 years ago. Last year was the first chance I've had to hunt since moving here. This year I have a new place to hunt that is almost right out my back door. I have seen deer, and have found a rub just recently. Our deer corn is disappearing every week, so I'm taking that as a good sign. Hopefully, I can have another nice 8 or larger walk in this year. Kingfisher
  10. not sure about the trail cams, but my digital camera needs the date/time stamp reset after batteries are changed out.
