  1. it's never too late for that. wish you both the best too.
  2. I was watching women's Super G the other night... that was crazy only a handful of OLYMPIANS who went down the mountain could control the speed to stay on course. they were carving turns at 60mph and that was at the top of the mountain.
  3. have well over a foot of ice on any lake or pond around here that I know of.

    Front Lawn

they gotta eat I guess. I can't imagine it'll hurt it too bad unless you planted something special that's not as resilient. lawn around here with native grass takes a beating.
  5. Ruth how many targets do you shoot where you go indoors? are they farther than 30 yards? I think local clubs around here only have about 9 targets out and maximum of 30 yards. there's one better one more like what I remember yours being like but it's over an hour away in Amsterdam, NY (Bowhunters Plus).

    Vacations

I've been down there multiple times before. I think it's the par3 capitol of the world down there. last visit down we stayed at the Wachesaw East Plantation in a condo. it hosted the LPGA tour and was pretty nice. we were right down the road asking where it was by official name and people didn't know what it was. they then told us "the plantation" was down the road, as if it was the only one.

    Vacations

not really sure. I've always been there as a stop for cruises, so no time to fish really.

    Vacations

colder than usual but warmed up to over 70 degrees, while back here at home it was below zero. fun was over when I got home though as I had to plow out the driveway with 2 feet of snow.
  9. hope it's a great turn out. I'm sure it will be.
  10. prices of much ammo have gone up I will say that.
  11. it's only 22lr... other stuff is available. it just takes a little time for it to get made and hit the selves. theirs 5.56 every where and in massive amounts now. so I think manufacturing time was devoted to supply that and thus any limited supply of the rest of the stuff. I will say unconstitutional laws like the NYSAFE Act cause shortages though. we can't order online anymore so you're stuck hitting the local stores so they can't get it and keep it on the shelves.
  12. yea not soon Al. out of vacation time for now and I've got my first kid coming this summer so it won't be for a few years probably. with my parents having a house down there it'll make things a little easier though and probably the next subspecies on the list.
  13. and when you're old you don't have to be politically correct. I agree with Martin and Joe things were a little different back then. That said if other racers feel the same way about you and won't let you draft among other things it's an impossible battle to the top.
  14. he'll learn quick. they're Houdini by 2.5 years old around here and have gotten a good education at 1.5 yrs old. lol it's sad really.
  15. yea it was up near Spring Hill so it was zone B or C and that season starts March 15th with a couple days of youth before that. I think it was along Rt 19. not sure if anyone on here hunts down around that area.

    Vacations

just got back... spent Thursday through yesterday on the gulf in Hudson Florida at my parent's vacation home.
  17. Well I just got back from a short vacation down on the gulf in Florida, not far from Tampa. Driving next to a wildlife management unit and saw a flock of Osceola longbeards. there was at least a half dozen or so.
  18. some on here have them. they're a great dependable gun. I went with a Benelli pump instead because I didn't want to spend semi-auto kind of money. you should talk with Al (Rhino) he's hammered lots of turkeys with his Benelli SBE II.
  19. There's a guy I know that's a good friend of my family. His son was skiing up in Maine with college football team mates Tuesday morning. He was skiing down a black diamond trail and went off the trail into the trees. He wasn't wearing a helmet and didn't make it. He was just 21 years of age and the guy's only son. If you've got time their family could use some prayers and for the love of everyone you know wear protective gear when taking risks like that mentioned. who knows if it'll help enough when he time comes but it sure won't hurt.
  20. yup hinged windows I've found to work better. tall narrow ones for bow hunting or deer just below the blind, hinged to the side. bigger gun windows hinged above.

    my dad

definitely sorry to hear that. got to be tough. more prayer is coming.
  22. imagine being a coroner and doing an autopsy for some murder/rapist that got shot 10 or so times with those. if detectives asked how many times the attacker was shot you'd quit. lol
  23. Seems like every year he doesn't get the point. So I retaliate. This year I've got 250 rounds of 60gr Vmax pills to help those chucks see the light and I rarely miss. I'm hoping that's enough and one of these years they'll get the point and stop predicting 6 more weeks of winter. in the back of my mind it could've been the stage lighting that did it, but it's more fun for me to be ignorant. lol
