  1. Thanks Todd, I have access to a plow and tractor, would it be better to use a plow or just disc it? Thanks for the advice. Rodney
  2. Thanks, I will get several samples and see what the PH is.
  3. We just accuired a new piece of property, it has several 1-1.5 acre fields scattered throughout, it looks like someone had once had cleared these ares for food plots but never planted anything. Currently the fields have weeds that are 3-4 ft tall, not sure what they are. What would be the best way to prepare these sites for food plots, we are not going to be starting the plots until spring. Should we spray the weeds or will plowing up the fields take care of the weeds? Thanks
  4. I have both the Alum and steel versions, they work great. The only problem that I have with them is that when I put up 4 or 5 sections I have to climb back down to the ground to pick up the sections and then climb back up. I have tied rope to the sections to pull them up without going back down the tree but I always seem to bang the sections togethor or against the tree. Other than that, no problems.
  5. I have'nt been there yet this year but I usually make at least one trip a year to walk around a look! I live just across the border near cumberland so its not to far of a drive to go there. They always have some nice looking bucks.
  6. If she stays in the area where we saw her she should be ok, there are a few houses around and I would assume that one of those houses is where she was raised. By her actions towards us she had to be raised by people somewhere, I just hope that if someone sees her coming towards them that they don't hit her with a rock or something. I'm still totally amazed by this, we might take another trip down there this weekend to see if she is still around.

  10. I had a similar problem with my cuddeback last season, I would keep getting a cam error readout. I tried several different cards and still got the same error message, I tried several days to talk to someone at cuddeback but kept getting a busy signal, finally got to talk with someone and they gave me a rma number and I sent the camera back, she told me it would be awhile before the camera would get back to me, it took about 3 weeks and I got the camera back with a new motherboard installed, everything was taken care of,but it took a little longer than I expected for the price that I had paid for the camera. Good luck!!
  11. Did your buddy catch any?
  12. I have tried Federal, Remington, etc and all the shells have the same problem.
  13. I have an 835 mag shotgun that I've been having some problems with, it seems like when I pump the gun to get another shell in the chamber the shell that is in the tube will not come out unless I really slam the pump back. I asked a local gunsmith and he showed me what the problem might be and told me the part would cost $35 and for him to do replace it would be another $75. He told me that it was pretty easy to replace and I could do it myself, the part is about 4inche long and it holds the shells in the tube until you pump the gun, then this little ear on the end of this piece moves in and the next shell comes out and is ready to be pumped in the chamber. He told me I had to take the trigger assembly out, when I do this does it come out in one piece? He said there was a pin that I had to take out to get the trigger assemly out, the only thing that I see is halfway up the gun from the trigger, is that what I need to remove?
  14. Nice pics, you could put out a wood duck nesting box and see if they move in and raise a family.
  15. Thanks again for the response, looks like I can put the money I was going to use for the WB and buy some nice wraps and blazers for my arrows.
  16. Thanks for the info! Now all I have to do is fletch the arrows and do some shooting. Thanks again for the responses.
  17. I just changed to the Axis arrows which are smaller diameter than the Goldtips that I was using. My question is: The biscuit I have on my bow is for medium diameter carbon shafts, before I buy the smaller diameter biscuit is there anyone who shoots the medium diameter biscuit with smaller diameter shafts?
  18. Its a pretty good idea, I think Penns Woods had a similar camera. The only problem is that the camera might have to use a cell phone or similar product to send the picture to your account and if you put the camera up in some areas you might not have cell phone service for the phone to send the picture. I guess they could use some type of satellite phone service but I'm not sure.
  19. I heard a rumor that a buddy of yours does most of the gutting, is this knife going to be a gift to him??? I have another question: Can you skin grizz pilgrim?
