  1. Thanks for your replies. I took it to my pro shop and they switched it out on the spot. Said they would ship the bad one back to QAD and said not to worry about it. Guy at the pro shop said it definetly was faulty and was about to lock up. QAD has great customer service!
  2. I have a QAD Pro HD and when I come to full draw it makes a noticable clicking noise. I have a couple friends who have the same rest and their's do not make the noise. Couple questions- has anyone else had this problem and if so, how did you go about fixing it? Also, has anyone ever had to send a rest back to QAD and how is there customer service?
  3. I've got a recurve and a few mis-match arrows. I'd like to find use a mathews gensis, but haven't ran across the right deal yet. Honestly, the chicken wire hasn't been a problem. If the arrow hits it, the diameter is so thin it doesn't effect it.
  4. There's an air pump in the bottom blowing the PP balls in the air. The arrow fletchings never come close to the chicken wire. Thanks for your input.
  5. Would you pay $5 to take a chance to hit a ping pong ball? This is a fund raiser for Realy for Life. If you hit a ping pong ball you'll win a $10 gift certificate to one of our local pro shops or either a $10 to a resturant. You're choice depending on what's left. I'll also have a purple ping pong ball and if you hit it, you'll win a $25 gift card to a resturant. $5 for 3 shots with a recurve. Winner gets a $10 gift card and all proceeds go to a great cause. I'm thinking about taking it too some pro shops and tournaments leading up to our 3d tournament for Relay. So, would you pay $5. P.S. I know it needs some cosmetic work. LOL
  6. Hey all! I have some things in the works, but we may have an archery hunt for either deer or hog donated for the shoot. Stay tuned for more information.

  10. I'm looking to trade a HHA for an Extreme sight with a light. I believe the extreme archery light is called a tail light. If anyone is interested in trading send me a PM.
  11. Archerytalk.com has a classified section. You can spend anything from $100-$1500. They have some awesome bows on there. Alot of your 3-4 year old models go for less than $500 (most fully rigged) and are within 5-10 fps of a new model. They also have arrows, releases, sights, etc....
  12. I also moved to NC from Ky. I went back last week and got to hunt one day. It was the best one day of hunting I've ever had. Deer came out 10 minutes after I got into the stand and were in the field when i climbed down. Saw 11 total and one big buck that was about 300 yards out. I was bow hunting, so no luck on the big boy, but I did miss a doe right at dark. Even though I missed it was awesome just being back in Ky hunting.
  13. What is the draw length? Have you killed a deer with it? PM sent
  14. I've tried shockwaves and Hornady with 100 and 150 grains out of my optima and it's been tough to get a consistant group out of either. I've used open sites as well as a scope and no luck with either. It could very well be operator error, but I'm beginning to think it maybe the gun.
  15. Mathew’s legacy 29 inch draw Pulling 63 lbs Bow is equipped with whisker biscuit, trophy ridge sights, limb-saver stabilizer, wrist strap. Accessories include- release, 5 golden tip arrows with field points, 3 G5 Montec 100 grain broad heads, primos bow sling, and bohning 4 arrow quiver I have found a new bow, but have to sell this one first. The asking price is $500. This is a RTH (Ready to Hunt) package. You could be in the woods the day after you get this bow,no problem. ***I also have a SKB hardcase with lock and key. It's a very durable case and great for traveling. I would sell it WITH THE BOW for an additional $125.
  16. I was wondering if anyone knew of any hunting apps for an Iphone or blackberry. I'm not looking for hunting games, but apps that could help you hunt or designed specifically for hunting- maps, weather, etc.....
  17. I've never been a part of a church split because people didn't want hispanics in there church, but have seen it due to african-american's. Honestly, I think it's ridiculous and people will answer to God one day for it. As a Christian, it is our job to make and disciple CHRISTIANS. Not American's or white only Christian's. The gospel of Jesus Christ is for everyone. All people need a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, reguardless of there skin color. Now if the pastor is pushing an agenda, that's one thing. Or if he's doing something illegally, then an argument can be made to go elsewhere. But, if he's reaching hispanic people with the gospel and there coming to church, then that's a GOOD THING. I would suspect people probably have the attitude along the lines, "We don't want THOSE people in OUR church". If it's THERE church, I wouldn't want to attend there anyway. If you look at the history of this country, our founding document says that "all men were created equal, that they are endowed by there Creator, with certain unalienable rights". I think we forget that God could allow any of us to be born in a little village in mexico, on a hillside in afgahanastan, or the sand of iraq. But he didn't. He allowed us to be born in the greatest nation to ever exist and instead of puffing our chest with pride because we're American's, we ought be humbled to our knees and thank God for how good he is too us and want to share the good news of his grace and love with all people reguardless of where they live or look like.
  18. Let me first of all say, that I love the bone collector guys. I liked them before they started that show and think it's a neat show. However, is it just me or are they going overboard with the advertisement? Almost everything you see now has a "bone collector edition" to it. Look, I know there the hottest brand in hunting right now and that's how they pay the bills. I get that part. However, I'm afraid it's going to back fire on them as people are getting sick of seeing Bone Collector on EVERYTHING. Most of the guys in the hunting industry built there brand over time and through years of producing products people enjoyed. Since, I was a teenager I have waited for mid-summer to get my copy of the latest monster bucks video/dvd. I watched those guys because they killed big bucks. They taught me something and was entertaining. But as i watch the BC shows it's like one big commercial, with sparatic moments of hunting. I know time changes everything. I get that and these guys usher in a new age in the hunting industry. However, my concern is people are going to turn away from the hunting shows and outdoor television because it's too commercialized. Most people hunt to get away from commercialization. They enjoy the simplicity of the outdoors. Atleast i do. One more thing and I'll zip it. The commercials aren't working for you. They're cheesy and ruin your credability. Sorry, just had to get that off my chest. I hope these guys will tone it back a little and keep there shows about hunting and the values it represents.
