I have a Fred Bear Team Realtree Extreme RH bow. It has a whisker biscuit, extreme sights, stabalizer, 3 arrows. It's a 29 inch draw, pulling at 65lbs and 70% let off. It was a 27 inch draw but I had it let out. Only cost me $25. It chronos at 251 fps. I have a case and a buckmaster target and will take $350 for it all. The bow is in excellent condition! I can probably ship the bow but it will be hard to ship the target. Send me a PM if you are serious.

I went to my local walmart the other day and picked up some Team Realtree Sausage. It is awsome. I have had it for lunch 2 days in a row and look forward to lunch tomorrow. Give it try. You won't be disappointed.

Well it goes back to the basics- The Human Heart. Long before Ar-15's people who wanted to enact vingance and harm upon people found ways to do it. Cain did not use an Ar-15. The truth is drug pushers, burglers, and thuggs will get there hands on the weapons they want reguardless of legislation. If they need the weapon to do there dirty deeds they will get it no matter the cost. I personally don't have a need for an AR but would like to own one. I think they are sharp looking guns and would enjoy shooting it. All stricter legislation does is make it harder for honest people to enjoy the sport of shooting. Liberals have always made issues with Gun owners because there a easy target. (No pun intended). More legislation is not the answer. The answer is personal responsibility. Something the left knows little about.

I had been processing my deer until this year. I went in with some buddies and had a doe completely made into summer sausage. ($27 for 5 rolls). Then I had a doe made into sausage except for the backstraps. ($80). Probably won't ever process another one myself unless I have too.

They can and will be tough but still eatable. I cook them for about an hour and a half at 350 in the oven and then throw them the grill for about another half hour. I use indirect heat and that's when I put my sauce on. Works ok for me.

First and foremost let me say that I greatly appreciate our armed forces who put there lives on the line everyday for my freedom and the privilages I enjoy, like sitting in my home piddling around on the computer. Second, I must also say that I have supported President Bush through out his entire presidenticy. While I have certianly disagreed with him on some issues and his handling of issues, I feel he was/is the man for our nation the past 8 years. I will hate to see him leave office. Third, I would like to offer my two cents about the war on terror especially in Iraq and Afganistan. I feel we are doing the right thing in invading those countries and rooting out terrorist and insurgants. The fact that Saddam Huessin is dead, is worth our efforts overseas, not to mention the countless other terrorist leaders who have been killed or captured. While I see the good in the work our troops are doing, I feel that the leadership, including The President, is looking at this war from the wrong prespective. The goal is to provide freedom and democracy to the Iraqis, and I feel freedom is a unrealistic goal. Iraq and Afghanistian are muslim countries and Islam does not promote equality and freedom. Islam works by fear and supression. America was founded on the Biblical principal that All people are created by God and deserve certain rights and privilages. Therefore freedom and democracy is a realistic goal for Americans, but not Islamic countries. If we were to successfully kill or capture every terrorist in the Middle East, it would only be a matter of time before a new generation of terrorist would come along, following there theology and trying to please Allah. Our troops could literally be there forever. There is no end to Islamic extremist. It is my understanding that devout Muslim's are to destroy the infidel's. An infidel is anyone who poses a threat to Islam. The terrorist are fighting us, not becaues they hate American's but because they are devote Muslim's who believe they are doing Alah's will. Islam also teaches that the only way for a Muslim to know for sure they will enter paradise is to die fighting the enemy's of Islam. That explains the suicide bombers. They blow themselves up with the hope of heaven. That is why the hijackers took control of the planes on 9-11. It was there theology that motivated them to cause the destruction and chaos that day. What I am trying to say is we cannot measure our progress by the democracy of a Islamic country. Our goal should be to keep terroist off US soil and keep them from doing more harm. Up to this point, we have done that. We need to have people who understand the Muslim theology offer guidence to our military leaders. This war is not about freedom, because muslim's do not operate on principles of freedom. This war is about theology and trying to keep America safe. God Bless the United States of America!

South, south, Alabama (mobile) etc... doesn't come in until late January and I have seen bucks chasing does as late as Valentines day.

140's- low 150's. At first I thought 130's but after looking harder he will be higher than first glance.
-
I agree...it is somewhat disheartning. However, it's not any different from the average person sitting in the pew. Bush never claimed to be a preacher, theologian, etc.... However, if he made the decision to go into Iraq because he thought it was a good idea and did not seek the Lord, it probably explains the blunders that have been made over there.

Great bow kill! Welcome as well. I would guess low 130's. Great buck no matter what he scores.

That looks like a fun deer camp. I remember our family deer camp- made a lot of good memories. I just hate that big buck hung himself:D
-
Got a pic or a link? What do they normally run?
-
No, it wouldn't be awsome, not in the least bit:(. If it was any other team maybe, but not my beloved Crimson Tide. I can't stand another L to Auburn. But, you are right it would make things interesting. As to the original questions- I know Florida is tough, but my loyalty is to the Tide. Alabama squeks past florida and then plays for the national championship. Roll Tide!

Neat story! So, where you late for school?

I live in the piedemont area of North Carolina and have noticed several tree rubs around the area I hunt. I have also noticed some mid-day movement of deer. Does this mean that the rut has started? Our deer season begins monday. Anyone else from NC seeing any rut activity?

Tim Austin (VorteX Binos) shoots a special buck.

Great bow kill! Good job. That's the first time I have ever seen a deer bigger than the four-wheeler. -
I got a new scope for my 30-30 and will be sighting it in this week. I enjoy doing this because I get to shoot, however I don't feel I am doing it right. I get it close to zero and have not missed a deer, but it takes me a box of shells to do that. Does anyone have any suggestions about sighting in your deer rifle?
-
I agree with these folks- Don't sweat it. I shot a small deer one time right at dark that turned out to be a button buck. Any deer you kill with archery equipment is a accomplishment. Congrats and go kill a monster to make you feel better:D
-
That's an awsome buck. It will score in the 150's easy. Congrats.
