I have heard from a lot of guys/gals that have been rattleing and getting good results from it. I am going to give it a try wednesday! We will see what happens.

Turkeygirl I noticed that too! Now that we are teamates on two teams we need to rock with our kills! Good luck to all of you and thanks for the comments. I got home from work last night and she asked if we were going again! LOL I think I started a good thing! Now will she be able to tough out the cold a little sitting in the stand not moving? We will have to see. I had to do house work so we did not go. There will be another day I told her.

The only thing that I wish could of been different is if we saw some deer. I just think it was to warm yesterday for deer to come by. I tucked her in bed last night and she said "Thanks for taking me dad!" I told her "Thanks for going! You made me really proud!" She wants to go again but I think I will wait untill beginning of November and then take a blanket for her to use to cover up with to stay warm. We will just have to wait and see! Today was one of the best days in my life! My 9 year old daughter went out with me for the first time ever. She did really good in the stand. We got settled in and 30 minutes later a yote came up behind us at 25 yards. I wish I saw him coming in because I would of smoked it. After that we did not see anything but a few Pheasants flying around in the tall grass. Here are some pictures from tonights hunt!

I was running a little behind this morning but still got out to my stand on time for sunrise! I just got settled in my stand when a couple deer walked right by me. After that I was thinking it was going to be a long morning with nothing else walking by since they moved so early. Boy was I wrong! At 7:06 am there was a family of 4 does walked by at 60 yards. Then a family of 5 followed same path as the last family at about 7:10 am! Both of those families crossed river in my site. Then at 7:19 am 3 does went to the far back corner where they also cross the river at. At 8:13 am two huge does ran up the hill going opposite dirrection from the other groups. Those does went out into the field and I lost site of them. A little Spike tried to sneak past me behind my tree. He was about a 5 inch spike. He came in at 8:18 am. While I took a couple pictures with my cell phone a deer came running down the timber and the little spike took off in chase of that other deer. Then two others ran off with them. Then as I drove around after getting down at 9:15 am there was 4 does out in the field! Seeing that many deer in one day was really cool and that has NOT happened for many years. I hope that is a good sign for this season and my deer to be harvested! If I would of sat in my other stand once again I could of shot at most of these deer. It always seems to happen that way if you have two stands not far apart.

Congrats to you Ranger! I am going to be hitting the woods again in the morning to try my luck again! We will see what happens!

Found first arrow about 50 yards away with the broadhead broke off and the end of the arrow broke off. So the arrow is garbage.

Team 3 Stone Cold 5 Points-Doe

Well, I went out today and you all will not believe what happened with me. I was walking in and saw 4 does running from the corn away from my property. I also saw 2 does running from a quary to my hunting spot. As I walked in at a little rush to get in stand just in case those does turned for my stand I jumped a doe that was bedded 10 yards from my stand. I got in the stand and the first deer came at dusk. It was a doe and I went to draw back and my loop on my bow broke. My arrow flew to the sky and caught a tree on the way up. The doe ran off and then the next thing I noticed was a yearling slowing walking up. I drew back on the string and shot the yearling doe and dropped her in her tracks. What a hunt! Saw 7 slickheads but not close enough for shot! Will be back out in the morning! Hope to shoot my first of the year!

Friday is our season opener! I have to work but will be out for an evening hunt! Can not wait! Ready to get it going!

Welcome! We are all checked in now! Good luck to all and hope we all have the best seasons ever! My season starts in 7 Days 15 Hours 18 Minutes and 23 Seconds! That is what my counter is saying as of right now! Wish it would go faster!

As of right now my counter says-9 Days 4 Hours 48 Minutes 23 Seconds!

I would do it but now sure how to. LOL

I tell you what, my daughter and I shed hunt together and it makes me really proud to be a dad. I am just a little worried on how she is going to do in the stand sitting there. She is a little bit active to where she is going to have a tough time sitting I think. We will see. LOL

Well the buddy stand is hung and my 9 year old daughter is very excited! She keeps asking if we can just go out there and sit. I hope she does well in the stand since she talks A LOT and can not sit still for 10 minutes! We will see and this will show her what it is all about too. Also here is a couple pics I got off trail cam. Now I am not going back in untill deer season starts!

Well, my buddy stand is ready to go and will be getting it up tomorrow. That will make my little princess happy! Dad will be even happier if I have pics of what the hunter south of me told me tonight. I guess a hunter south of him said that a very big monster 12 was walking north towards my stand and he has him on trail cam walking north. I am checking my cam tomorrow while I am out and I hope it has something to show me. I can not wait to see what I have. I am crossing my fingers and hope to get a pic of him too! Then it would be nice to put my hands on him after that. Here is a pic of my future hunter in my ladder stand this past spring.
