  3. Welcome to RealTree, Congrats!!! on a fine buck for a first bow kill, I've harvested several as well with a bow, but never one like that. One day I am going to able to go to Illinois and change that I hope.
  4. Kat, my season started off the same way, however on Oct. 23rd I did take out a management buck, then back to the same ole crap, I haven't seen a deer since.
  5. Not much you can do, cops are going to back up each other. He should have called the local Wildlife Division. Sounds to me as if he was borded and doin' a little bit of legal spotlighting.

    Been to Baxterville with a buddy scouting, first thing he said was bring snake boots. Ok I did, boy was I glad, seemed to me the rattlers was like leaves......everywhere

  8. I hate running out of light when there are deer around, especially a good buck that has been there a while and hung up. Then a few more show up and trap you in the tree.

    Never been Bear hunt'n....Congrats!!!
  10. Knowing where he hangs out is a big help, but I do find it hard unless he has a unique rack. During the rut they cover a good bit of ground, might get lost along they way.

  17. It's not just bad there man, I have 100 acres private land, usually deer all over. First part of Oct. saw 2 does with yearlings, 1 doe by herself, and on Oct. 23 I took a 3yr old scrap buck to get him out the herd. I haven't seen a deer since. ML season here now, been everyday since Sat. morning, no deer. I am tellin' myself they are stayin' deeper in the swamp, beacause the acorns started fallin' last week. I really don't know what the crap is goin' on, never had a year like this, I do know it is still to hot for the middle of Nov.

    Hey RedNeck, wonder what they'd do in Baxterville, Miss. To me that is Rattlesnake capital of the world. Do ya'll have many up the road where you at.
  21. Saw on killed on some public land, never saw one on the hoof though, have heard that they pass bad genetics though.
