  1. Has anybody used Power Scrape with positive results. Just checkin before I waste the money.
  2. I'm in the South, I have the swamp, I have the rope, the swamp has the trees, all we need is the (..)hole, that did it.
  3. Same in Louisiana, nothing doin' here either, harvested 1 (shooter) scrub buck, management deer. At least he is out of the gene pool and in the sausage sack. Hope it changes soon, ML season here too-and the war zone opens here Sat. morning. Didn't get a look at a deer on youth weekend, but done told my 5 yr old, he can shoot at every one till he kills. He has never shot at one, and it is my mission to change that this year...........wish us luck
  4. Great Buck for a bow kill, i'd stuck him and never thought twice about it on public land.
  5. Thx guys for helpin' me make up my mind, was think'n bout the Primos Silver scent control stuff too . Never used any of these (new) gimicks b4, guess I never will. Gone stay with Tinks, Code Blue, & Dead Down Wind
  6. Too hot in La. still in the 80's in November, still got skeeters, still ain't seein' no deer. Gotta change for the better, sooner or l8tr. Rain today, cold front coming in behind the rain, ready for winter time, bring the deer out of the holes they went in.
  7. Nice Buck ...........CONGRATS TO YA!!!
  8. The old sayin' goes: Don't knock it till you have tried it.....so after reading this post, I don't guess i'll ever knock(nock) Rage broadheads. I have to agree with Steve, my Muzzies have never let me down, did buy some Bloodrunners this year (thought they looked cool) but the one shooter buck I have harvested this year was shot with a Muzzy MX4.
  9. Sounds good, maybe one day I will make to Ill. for one of the (deer) seasons don't matter to me, I'll throw rocks at 'em if I have to.

    snake

I'm think'n (baby)Timber Rattler (poisonous) or rat snake (not poisonous), dont know bout' Arkansas, but in Louisiana it is most common to find a Pygmy Rattler under dried cow dung. Colors don't match a copperhead, or coral, could be a breed of king snake, cottonmouth aka. stumptail, mud moccasin, water moccasin (never heard of one in a tree, unless it was a low branch hangin over a creek). We also have Canebreak Rattler here, pretty popular in Angie, so I watch every step I take till a good freeze comes, have one skinned out, had 13 rattlers and a button, 7' 11'' long, 1 1/4 fangs, makes my leg hurt typing this....&^%#
  11. All Country and old Rock ( Journey, Styx, Boston, Reo, Rush etc.)
  12. My girls favorite stuffed toy was Baby Bop off of Barney, she's 11 now, no more Barney; but we still have Baby Bop. My son's favorite thing since I can remember was a toy gun. He has slept with them, packed them just about everywhere he goes. He will be 6 in December and has a 22, a 20 gauge,a 243 and a Sheridan Silver Streak pellet rifle (that he can't pump to shoot, that's my job...lol). He loves the woods and deer hunting.......Thank God
  13. Sorry to hear about your loss man, may God be with you and your family during your time of grief.
  14. Congrats on the non-typical....Nice Buck
  15. Need to move some of those to Louisiana, & ban huntn' for 4 years. In the meantime of the 4 years guess i'll have to go to Illinois......lmao
  16. Holy &%^$ what a buck, !!!congrats!!! on a massive buck
  17. Same problem with the rain here too, caused me to plant plots late. Luckly the one and only shooter deer I have saw with my bow meet his maker. He went 40 yrds. and piled up, heard the crash, that's way I like it. At least the kid didn't get discouraged, keep him in the woods and it will all come together. When I first started bowhuntin' ( quite some years ago) all I had was some state owned public land to hunt, it was hard huntin' because of all the people it drew there, no plots or anything like that. It was 3 years before I finally killed a doe. For his first year I'd say he is doin' all right.
  18. Great documentary, and an ''Awesome" Buck......Congrats to ya!
  19. That panther knows he can get around, and it cost him no gasoline.....lol........sorry guys didn't know that he was this popular.
  20. A buddy of mine sent me this in a text message, he said it was a from a trail cam that one of the guys in his lease had out on the feeder. This is supposedly in Warnerton, Louisiana, which is about 30 miles from where I hunt. I have seen 2 Panthers (Cougars) in this area in my lifetime, so it is possible to see one.
  21. Good Luck on your hunt, but watch out for these guys. A buddy of mine sent me this in a text from somebody's trail cam about 30 miles from where I hunt.
