  1. Happy Birthday! Hope you all have a fine day.:)
  2. That's great news. Break a leg!
  3. Imitated but never duplicated. Beautiful shots.
  4. Great shots. I really like the merganser "treading the air" before he hit the water.
  5. Congratulations! I'm sure you were chosen for this position for good reasons. I was an NA many years ago and remember my classmates and I bombarding the teacher with all kinds of questions, I'm sure they weren't always prepared to answer off the top of their heads. But, they did a great job, as I'm sure you will too.
  6. That looks like a blast! The only way we could get speed "way back when" was to hook up the neighbors St. Bernard!! LOL
  7. Unfortunately, shingles are the chicken pox virus that you had as a kid and lays dormant in your nerve roots until it rears up to get you again later on, in a different, nasty way. Laying on the Smackdown..... hope you're feeling better soon.
  8. Absolutely beautiful pictures.
  9. We have our own reasons for not supporting our spca here. Years ago we took our daughter (then 8) there to pick out a cat. She chose a cute little kitten but had to wait the required week to "think about it" before she could claim it. We paid the $65 and took the cat directly from there to our vet for a check-up. The vet didn't like the look of the cat as he suspected it had distemper. He called the spca to inform them of his fear and they told him that they already knew about it and that they were in the process right then, of destroying all the cats in their possession. We had only left there a half hour before! The spca called and told us that when the cat dies we were to put it in a bag and take it back to them, and we could then pick out another one. Ya right. After many sleepless nights of around the clock syringe feeding and the prayers of an 8 year old, the kitten miraculously survived. I'm still mad that the only thing they truly care about is their bottom line. Needless to say, we haven't supported them since.
  10. So very true. Actually they were all set to get their own surprise puppy in the new year but found out they have to move and they're now not sure they can keep a dog where they're moving to. The girls told their mom they would move, but only if Polli or Steve could go with them. I'm packing his bags as we speak! :clown:
  11. Congratulations mom and dad and welcome to the world little Breylen!
  12. You really are a sharing kind of guy! LOL Hope you both feel better soon. Merry Christmas.
  13. Now that's what we miss about Christmas morning. Love the one with Cash in the jumper..... looks like the world's his oyster! Great pics.
  14. Merry Christmas to you Ruth, and everyone on here. No cooking here today. Just leftovers. Already had a bun with turkey for breakfast!
  15. Our neighbors across the street have 2 little girls... Georgia 3 and Bella 2. They're both in love with our dog Polli. If they see us coming home they run to the edge of their property waiting for us to let the dog out of the truck and then start calling Polli, Polli, Polli while patting their little knees hoping the dog will run over to play with them. They beg their mom to bring them over here every night to see Polli or hopefully take her for a walk, no matter the weather. We've left Polli with them a couple of times while we ran errands and they beg us to let her live with them forever. Well, a few weeks back their mom took them and their little cousin to have photo's taken for their Christmas cards. Georgia asked her mom if just she and Bella could be in the picture. Her mom asked Georgia why she didn't want her cousin in the shot. Georgia replied "well, when we give Polli her Christmas card, she won't recognize him!" That's what I call a little Christmas cheer!
  16. That couldn't have been said better. Merry Christmas brother.
  17. Glad to hear he's doing well and will be home today. Prayers from us for a full and swift recovery and Merry Christmas to you all.
  18. Merry Christmas.....if they all stay tied up like that till next year, maybe I'll get a chance. LOL Have a great holiday.
  19. I think this is that guy posting all the Russian garbage. Profile matches.
  20. Love watching all the guys, last minute shopping on Christmas eve. Many of them point to one of us, or a lady rushing by and announce that "she's about her size". We then ask what they'd like to spend and have fun picking out their new wardrobe. Work day goes by real fast.
  21. Unfortunately I don't think this "slap on the wrist" sentence will do any good. He apologized to all the rescue workers and that's OK but never to his sons who will be reaping the degradation of having a father like him, for the rest of their lives. Of course if he's truly sorry, the world will never again hear from the likes of this fool again and so we can only hope.

    CHRISTmas!

I always thought the X came from the word criss-cross.
