  1. Great story...and how nice to get a turkey on Thanksgiving day!
  2. If you go to Photo Post .... you can see the pics in there. Wow, that's one huge, beautiful cat. How about the story on the hippo? Very intriguing.

    Thankful...

    Well said. Thank-you.
  4. Congrats on a fine looking bird and great story too.
  5. Thanks. I guess I should have paid better attention. Nothing more honorable than serving your country. May God be with you Tim and all your brothers and sisters that serve with you.
  6. I must have missed something. What happened to Tim?
  7. Congratulations to the parents and you too, uncle Brad. :cool2: No matter how long labor is, once you hold that precious baby, it's all worth it.
  8. That's quite the accomplishment. Congratulations Mary! Wish I could have seen the play.
  9. The english is getting a little better....except for the part where they will "charge you with the FBI" !!?? :clown::clown::clown: Crazy.

    9 Grand

Amy...a friend of a friend has been flown to a hospital in Vancouver due to complications with a 20 week pregnancy with twins. Today she texted that she is now on oxygen due to pulmonary edema. Doctors suspect she has also contracted H1N1. She will have to deliver the babies today sometime. Her parents live in Ireland and can't get here until Friday. This poor young woman is really scared. Two of her closest friends have braved high winds and taken the ferry to the mainland to be at her side.
  11. Very nice work. My favorite's the fungus growing up the tree.
  12. First babies can take a long time. Mine was ONLY 16.5 hours. :flex: The .5 part was the worst.
  13. WTG!!!! Sounds like an exciting hunt. One I'm sure you'll never forget.
  14. Your dad left you a great legacy to carry throughout your life. Sounds like he was a wonderful man. I'm sorry for your loss and pray for continued healing.
  15. Hey Ruth, Steve has just gone out to check another hunting spot but says to tell you that you are more than welcome and that the black bear tail is coming along nicely. He also has another blacktail tail curing for ya and hopefully another one from today's adventure (if he's lucky that is). Happy fly tying!

    SnowShoe help!!!

Have you considered renting a pair?
  17. Glad you finally got your truck back. I know that must have been a long week without it. You and Linda are in our prayers for a safe trip south. Be sure to check in on us when you have time to spare from all the sightseeing. Bon Voyage!

    KenW is Home!!!

After just 1 week in hospital they gave Ken his "walking" papers this afternoon. Steve picked him up, along with a truck load of gadgets to help him maneuver around his place. Ken's church friends were still busy making it easier for him to get to his chair and bed and one is even installing a cabinet for him to store all his essentials. Steve made his bathroom a little more friendly to use too and he will have Home Care to take care of his injury during the weeks ahead. Ken is really happy to be home and his faithful companion Rocky is simply thrilled. There is nothing like the comforts of home to speed healing but a prayer or two his way will still be greatly appreciated.
  19. Beautiful buck and an exciting story to go with it. Great job.
  20. At the moment it's only blowing about 20K but the rain is heavy and non-stop. Looks like we might be in for another flood by morning. There are small rivers running across most roads now and even though we're on high ground, our street's a virtual lake. Luckily we haven't lost any power as yet. Jack, was that Saltspring Island you were visiting your daughter at? That sure is a beautiful area.
  21. Any music played at work must not have a religious theme to it. That may be just why it's so annoying. The reverence of the spirit of Christmas is removed. I still enjoy songs that praise the real reason for the season!
  22. I've had to listen to it at least 50 hours a week from November 12th till January 02 for many years now. If I never again hear "The Happy Elf" song, it'll be way too soon. I seem to be able to block out most of the rest of them but that one just jars the brain.:wacko::wacko:
