  1. Too late, mine just seen that work..... "honey that's what I want :hammer1:" same colors too. Really man that not only looks great but it looks AWESOME!
  2. I've never had to hunt whitetail outside of my state here in Montana as we have a bunch of them right here. I may travel to Wisconsin this next year to hunt with a buddy of mine though, just something about them Buffalo County Bucks that gets the ol heart pumping for them.
  3. When ever I go to Hawaii, they always look at me funny for just having a strapped carry on. Few light weight cloths, usually buy some extra over there, then flat rate shipping back home so they don't go in the luggage. Never pack more than I need.
  4. That ought to work, or it should. I have had people who live up this easment road that boarders state land, try to run me off. The law is clear on these roads as being public access because the state land is not land locked. Hold your ground.
  5. Congrats on your first of many now.
  6. Norm, here is my take on this having a perm disability in my back. I still can get around quite well for this problem, I just don't let it be a problem. But here goes. This guy that called you should have offered to pay you instead of you paying a fee, after all he has sponsors, and was going to film this for his benefit and promotion. He should have offered to put you first in line of the season for a nice buck. If it was my operation, that is the way I would have run it.
  7. Yep, my first was here in Montana back in 1990 as it was a nice 5x6 whitetail taken with a Browning BLR in 7mm-08. I was out hunting out west of Kalispell, Mt in the Marion area. I happen to take up sitting behind a nice stump, when this doe stood up, and then the buck. He turned to head off in another direction and my cross hairs found their mark, and I fired dropping the buck right there in its tracks.
  8. That is so awesome, and with your dad getting a nice buck down. Way To Go!
  9. I'm glad you were able to get back out with the crossbow. That is a nice buck you got there in the picture, congrats to you.
  10. Loved it, great footage I posted under my other username of JBinMontana.
  11. The company is out of business now, but found this on another forum doing a search on it.
  12. I feel for you, as I had it happen to me by a nameless guy in Arizona who makes parts for arrow shafts. I will not tarnish his name here but if he frequents Realtree he knows who he is. I spent alot of time getting him information over property he had gotten willed to him, the area and even arial pictures of the elk haunts. I was suppose to be included in hunting the area when he came out. Well that all came and gone, and so is our friendship. We nice guys have to live and learn, and sometimes its thru the school of hard knocks.
  13. Just show the deer that picture and they will fall over laughing. :clown:
  14. That would be good some Moose Drool Beer http://www.bigskybrew.com/Our_Beers/Moose_Drool
  15. Now you just forgot to shave your legs :clown:
  16. This morning I had to hunt alone since my partner had to work, and so I head out to the property and find the old homesteaders cabin. What is left of it is a shell, with no roof and little comfort in the rain like it was today. In the corner are my Badlands Day Pack, and my Handi Rifle 7mm-08 just waiting for a whitetail to come by. But shots taken from the walls will show you, that its just a natural blind to play the wait game. Unfortunetly, nothing was moving in the woods today of the whitetail kind. This small branches need some thining out for a good shooter lane, as deflection could be the end result causing a bad shot. Finally in the last picture, is a bucks skull that I found on another ridge over looking a deer highway. I just happen to look down and saw this, so I took the picture before I took the skull with me.
  17. My wife has learned, nothing but nothing comes before my hunting during the season, and she tells everyone that she is a hunters widow during this time. Stick to your guns!
  18. Just recently bought a 7mm-08 and love the cartridge and caliber. My next rifle caliber purchase will be in the .280 Remington, or a good .243 Win for varmint/preditor control.
  19. It is the best choice for home defense, and usually when you rack a 12 ga a suspect knows you mean business.
  20. Many years ago, I felt as you do right now and sold everything. But a few years later, I was back in the saddle again. One of the things we tell people in Bowhunter Ed, is that if your into bowhunting because you think your going to fill every tag, then your in the wrong activity. I enjoy just getting out into the woods with my bow, and no I don't get to arrow everything that I would like, but it affords me the extra time out there during the archery only season. My loving wife can not wait for the end of general firearms season to end now.
  21. Well here I am posting on this again, only cuz my bowhunting camo is ASAT but I got a Team Realtree hat that I love and don't want a Mossy Oak one. So with all my weight loss them Mossy Oak pants size 40 won't fit this size 32/34 any more. So Team Realtree it is during the cold weather general firearms season. So ol WalMart is blowing out some Realtree AP stuff, like the Bomber Jacket I just got with a hood that was $24.97 I just got for $20.00 and will be going back for some pants now with cargo pockets.
