Hunt or be Hunted

Weather is still too warm for me to be out. Sitting at 85 right now.

Yeah had quite a cool down this way as well 1:47pm and we are sitting at 74 degrees. Pretty nice. Ours opens the 1st but ain't no way I'm getting to sit in a tree until our work slows down quite a bit. October is a busy month for me anyway with my time off unfortunately.

Name doesn't matter to me at all guys. I kinda do like tree ninjas though.

If this hot weather doesn't hurry up and leave ain't gonna be a very fun season. The good ol Farmers Almanac (sp?) Says that we are going to have a harsh cold winter. Hope they are right. Need some good deer hunting weather before duck season comes in Thanksgiving morning.

Good to see ya around. Things have been busy around my place as well. I unfortunately didn't stick a deer last year. I missed a good 155 inch deer during the rut. Coyote chased him right in front of my stand. Arrow hit a small limb. And to say the least I was very disappointed in myself at the time. My buddy that I hunt the farm with ended up killing a 130- 140 class during the post rut with his muzzleloader. Very nice deer. Then waterfowl season came in and I put my deer hunting things away for the year. I seem to be more mad at the ducks then I am at the deer anymore.

How has everyone been ? Feels like it's been years since I've been on here. Everything has been busy this way. Between work, fiancé, and the fire department. I can't catch a break. Haven't even been able to break out the bow yet this year to see if im worth a hoot anymore. Anyone have any luck last season?

We don't even have enough ducks around here to he hunting yet. The push of ducks still hasn't started. Been out 4 times and shot 1 duck.

Holy cow guys. First off I want to say I'm sorry. I had to get a new phone due to my old one wasn't holding a charge. When I got my new one in and downloaded this forum it kept telling me time after time that I didn't know my password or anything. I tried everything. And finally I gave up. For some reason I figured I'd try it once more and it finally let me log in! My season has been a bust. Long story short I missed one of the bucks on the farm we call The Count. Huge 140 class chocolate horned buck. Still sick to my stomach over that one. Now that duck season is in I've been spending a lot of time in the blind. Fixing to pick up my bow and go on an evening hunt tonight.

Still haven't had a chance to get into a stand. I'm dying to go!

I hear ya! I don't know what sleeping in is. I can not set my alarm and still get up at the same time. Lol. Hopefully I will be able to get in a afternoon hunt tomorrow. I gotta run to gander mountain and grab my tags. Oops! Been so busy I haven't even thought about getting them.

Hey guys! I'm really late checking in! Had some family issues come up that had to be dealt with. Season opener is just a few hours away for me. But I'm stuck at work to where I can't go. But I'm off Sunday so I'll be sure to be in a tree somewhere! Temperatures are slowing coming down for us here. Supposed to be in the mid to upper 60's for highs this weekend!! Name really doesn't matter to me. Whatever you guys pick is perfectly fine by me!

For those of you that remember him on this forum. I have been seeing on Facebook where he is having some pretty bad Heath issues. Keep him in your prayers. Looks like he is doing a bit better. But still needs lots of prayers.

Couldn't agree more. I loved this forum when I joined in 2008. I learned a lot from members. But most of them have run off. Can we blame them? I can't.

Yeah it seems you have to fill out a lot of paper work just to enter your bird. Me personally, never entered one. But I've seen the paper you have to fill out and then the pics to have to take ect. Just too much work imo. I do really enjoy all the stories though!

Sorry I posted on the other thread before I saw this one haha. I'll say the same here though. Thanks a lot realtree and Scott. I like playing with all you guys throughout the season. Not looking for any gifts. Put this puts the icing on the cake! And also, a huge thank you to john for putting this on again this past season!
