Hunt or be Hunted

Hope everyone is doing well. I'm sitting in the stand now on my only day off this week. My luck today hasn't been the greatest. Truck caught fire while I was driving it. Could have ended worse. Burnt some wires up. I'm gonna work on replacing them and hopefully it will start again!

Hopefully I'll be able to go out sometime this coming week. My work schedule has me to where I can't hunt mornings or evenings. It's normally a 8-5 shift. So that really don't leave any time to hunt. I'm off Wednesday so hopefully I can get out that day.

Have not found a way yet. I think they left that part out on the new upgrade.

So have we decided on a name yet? Or have we decided to be undecided? Haha.

I plan on sitting this evening for the first time of the season. We shall see how it goes..

Well.. Deer season is here! Now just have to find time to get my permit and make it to the woods!

Hey teammates! Been crazy at work trying to open a new store. I'm waiting on oct. 1st. Then it's full speed ahead. Got some new ground to hunt this year... I've just been so busy I haven't had time to go walk it yet. So it's all gonna be new for me. I kinda like the name Band of Booners..

I wish they would open one around here... We have a Gander Mountain and Dicks Sporting goods. But no Cabela's... Or Bass pro. Maybe one day haha.

Yeah they had that on the local news. There was a guy that fell off a barge a few months back. They never found him, We are all hoping that it is from him. Give the family a bit of hope.

Yeah I gotta say I have a pretty cool dad myself! Now that he is retired, We are starting to do everything we've always wanted to... Like fishing, He does Civil war reenactments with me now, Joined the fire department that I'm on. Hope all you dads have a wonderful fathers day!!

We are truly blessed! I know first hand how bad they can get, With that tornado coming through our county in November.

As for it being dry- We put a pork shoulder in the smoker at turkey camp. We ran the temp at 225. Checked on it every now and then. Cooked about 4-5 hours and ir was really tender. Not dry at all.

How is my TN,MS,AL realtree family doing? Sounds like ya'll got it worse..

Some say I may have came back empty handed... I may have not shot a bird but i had a BLAST! Great group of guy's to hunt with. I will be back there next year for sure. I'm sorry I didn't get a bird guy's..

Headed home to clean up a bit! We got 2 more hunts. 2 guy's have shot a bird so far. One of them weighed 20 pounds. Had a 10 1/2 inch beard. 2nd one was a 23 pound bird with a 9 1/2 inch beard. I've had a lot of close calls. Buddy I'm hunting with moved and busted us this morning. Fixing to head back!

Well this is it. You don't know how excited I am! Headed out early in the morning to Turkey camp!!! Hopefully next time I post it will be with a bird on the ground!
