Hunt or be Hunted

Shot a good sized 9 point last night with the shotgun! Will get pictures posted as soon as I figure out how on my phone...

Team 3 Happy thanksgiving everyone.

I made it out twice this weekend. Had a doe bed under me and then had a spike walk in front of me. Then on the 2nd sit saw a 4 point. Could have shot a t one of them. Was kind waiting til a big boy stepped out. But it never happened. So the next gun season, Whatever comes in first is DEAD I need meat. Still really busy down in brookport. So that's where most of my time is spent.

Sundays storms I'm ok but my county ain't. The south end of our county, also known as Brookport IL. Got hit by a EF-3 tornado. 3 deaths and over 15 other people taken to the hospitals. I got there just a few minutes after it happened with my fire department and started going through rubble trying to find people. The folks around here could use a lot of prayers right now. It's going to be a long road.

Team 3 I have to put my hunting to a stop for right now. We had a EF-3 tornado go through our part of our county last night. Fire department has been out there since the start. Don't know when I'll be able to get out again. It's a crazy mess right now. I pray I can get out a morning sometime this weekend for the firearm season. But its not looking good..

Headed out in a bit for a evening hunt. Kinda still warm but I'm gonna give it a shot.. Upper 50's to lower 60's right now...

I brought a bow from a guy a week or so ago. And it he gave me a bow case with it. He lives in a house with about 4 or 5 cats and 3 dogs. And they don't like going to the bathroom where they should. So the smell on this bow case is awful. It's a cloth bow case. How can I get the smell off of it? I can't even bring it in the house it smells so bad.

Team 3 I hear ya man. I Shot my buck on the 27th of October last year. Felt bittersweet to be missing the rut.

Team 3 First hunt of the year got crushed. Had a wreck that my fire department got called to. Have some birthday plans tonight or I'd be in the woods again.

Team 3 Got some good news when I went into work last night. We are done on our part of the remodel. Last night was my final overnight shift. Thank god I'm back to days! Now it's on for hunting.

>22 Ammo SHORTAGE??????? I work at gander mountain and we just got our truck in yesterday. We had a full shelf full of 22 ammo and when I got off work this morning I seen a line of about 6-7 guys outside waiting to get in. Just for 22s. Bet all of it was gone within 45 minutes of us being open.

I work at good ol Gander Mountain. We are doing a huge remodel and I have been on overnights since it started. I keep thinking we are almost done but then they want more done..

Team 3 I give up. I got stuck on another week of freakin overnights. Hopefully I'm off of them before the rut...

New Monster Bucks Video I'll agree. I have almost every set of MB at home. All the way back to season 8 I think. I always enjoyed the bow shoots and the score count. Like said above I loved guessing the score then seeing how close I was to it. I liked when they use to talk about the hunts before and after them. Like during the breaks. But if it's all straight hunts and no breaks is useless.

New Monster Bucks Video I was going to buy the new set. But knowing this I will not. That is weird. Won't buy them anymore if they don't put any fun into it.

Team 3 They have stuck me on another week of midnights so I'm pretty much screwed for going hunting for right now. I can hopefully get in the woods next week (if they are nice enough to get me off of these freaking midnights. ) glad to see some points on the board though.
