  1. Great looking deer you're growing Al, hope you guys have a great season up there this year!
  2. That's awesome William, I know you both are as proud as you can be. That's pretty impressive to make those grades and that act score puts her in a very small group of exceptional kids. Congratulations Christina!
  3. Yes it helps, but you put it on the riding mower in the yard any then sneak off to the camp. Gotta change positions in the yard from time to time or your wife will catch on though.
  4. Welcome back bug. Maybe this is your year!
  5. That's awesome Luke! I'd be itching to shoot somebody with that thing. Lol
  6. I mix two parts trace mineral, one part salt, one part dicalcium phosphate. Top with presweetened break grape coolaid to get them started.
  7. Twins equals twice the fun(and twice the expense lol) Great girls, they wanted new bows so I paid twelve hundred for two Hoyt hats and got two free bows lol
  8. sweet! looks like fun! nice looking gun too Shaun!
  9. You sure? I was thinking it was usually around mid-August? I can't get anything to come up with the search function so I couldn't find last year's threads. I know lots of states are in full swing at mid-sept. idk, we'll see how it goes
  10. Are here http://forums.realtree.com/forum/miscellaneous/announcements-online-contests/2033387-2014-2015-rt-deer-contest-sign-up
  11. Ok guys I suppose it's time to get this going again. I normally look back and cut/paste the signup/rules from the previous season, but seem to be having a little problem searching and finding older stuff since the upgrade. If one of you can paste a link to last year's rules and sign-up threads I will appreciate it but for now I'll just go from memory on the verbage. First of all this is of course an unofficial contest run and moderated by forum members and not sanctioned by the good folks at Realtree/Jordan Outdoor Enterprises etc. There may or may not be prizes awarded at the end, in order to participate you must be a member in good standing with at least 75 posts, or member of active military duty with 25 posts. We reserve the right to disallow any member regardless of post count. This contest is simply an "all-in-fun" thing and if someone is disruptive to either the forums or their teams they will be replaced. Sign-Up will end on Sept 10th. At that time I will randomly make up teams (youth hunters will be evenly distributed though) and will have them assembled before the 15th when I know many states have openers. Additional late teams can still be made up as they are formed, so if you catch this thread after the deadline, by all means sign up anyway. There are always no-shows and we need alternates. REMEMBER YOU ARE EXPECTED TO PARTICIPATE. NO ONE LIKES TO BE STUCK ON A TEAM WITH NO-SHOWS! Once the teams are announced we'll allow about two weeks to check in, so please check back before the end of the month or you will find you have been kicked off the team and to the back of the line. Please sign up below with Name, Screen Name, Age, States to be hunted, and Dates. Example: John Todd Redkneck 41 MS Oct 1- Jan 31 If I've forgotten something someone please remind me! Thanks, jt
  12. Looking at buying two for my twin daughters.

  14. I gotta drop about 1200 bucks on two new bows next week for my girls bday. Having twins can be a pain in the wallet! Other than that I need some more lock-ons.
  15. Didn't realize they came with guillee suits now, I guess I need to get out more lol.
  16. Truefire is what I'm shooting now. Can't go wrong with them or Scott. I did pick up a cheap Allen one at Wal-Mart a couple years ago when I left my release at home and didn't want to drive the sixty mile round trip to fetch it. Works just as good I will say, just not quite the quality and smooth operation but heck it works every time.
  17. Haha yeah won't be too much longer. Have to look and see when we started it last year. Hate to start the sign up process too early, some folks sign up and forget when their season starts twelve weeks later. Won't be long now, my season is only a little over 8 weeks out and I still gotta get a new string and my girls are getting new bows for their bday nexT week.
  18. Not bad William. I'm with you though, not sure if be happy with 170 on that one. I'm actually need a couple new cams this year. Lay one I got was a truth can blackout. Was impressed with it for the money but it crapped out after two seasons of only moderate time in the field. Any suggestions are welcome. I like the infrared flash with the filter. I almost never had deer look at the filtered ir.
  19. Wow 4 weeks?!? I sure don't envy you! Good luck. I just got a yellow female 7 weeks old. My girls are training her right now to catch cheese singles. She looks like she's catching on quickly too! Lol I quit duck hunting years ago for the most part, if I do anything with this dog I'd like to train her to be a blood dog, but she'll prob just be a pet/cheese catcher
  20. Happy B'day Tim!!! Hope you have a great 5-0!!
  21. Ditto. Then went back to the meta lol. Got to get my bow restrung now but I'm sticking with it. That rubber band sure gets aggravating too.
