  2. sweet!!! ( i actually got suitcases for my 16th...) i have been peering at those new Nikon's for some time... i still use my old bushnell... that takes two hands to hold up and has a 20 yard minimum.. again happy b day!
  3. its okay... minors and miners do have a little in common... one is work... the other likes work.
  4. well... one month down since joining,(02/23) and a little apprehension on my part at the begining... Aksheephuntress told me what a great bunch you all are and i have to agree... so thanks. i have to say i rather enjoy not having any labels, placed on a person or the fact that every one here discusses rather then points fingers or blame. i do rather enjoy viewing some of the honest and open helpful discussions that occur here.. Thanks Vince
  5. better hope it is not a suitcase!!! LOL happy birthday!!!
  6. i would wager those 38 states are all the same that already have sovereignty bills passed within their own house/senates
  7. and here all the Poor folks at election time thought he was gonna buy them the health care... now they have to buy it or be fined...LOL and has to be done buy 2014? it will be that long BEFORE the supriem court sees it..in that time he may well be able to appoint a few of them
  8. Cruiser... a 3 yr old chessy we adopted last fall..
  9. YUP! and there is a reason it takes those folks on Tv a week or more to get heat in camp:cool2:
  10. well a tromel and a back hoe are a little less work there ... we also use a 4" suction dredge as the water in the hole tends to get deep on occasion..
  11. there are tons better places then that... we call it Los- Anchorage for a reason... Anchorage is no longer Alaska.. but it is nearby
  12. good luck guys.. our lotto draws should be out next week
  13. still sitting on nearly 2 foot and 9 degress this morning... no sympathy from the north
  14. it does okay... the raptor is a knock of of sorts for the Remington model 700, it has an ugly fit and finish on it but are cheap shooters with decent recoil and it patterns in the 1 inch group at 100 yds... we make managed recoil ammo for the kids so the groups loosen up a bit.. but all in the kill zone and you dont feel bad when kiddo dings it up a bit... conversely the 14 year old got the new ruger hawker for her 14th in DEC.. in 30.06... brushed stainless, black laminate stock and the 3200 elite firefly reticle for a scope.. that is a out of the box tack driver
  15. Tried to see him here in Fairbanks this winter... but sold out to quick.. we have a few DVD of him and they are hilarious..
  16. heading off to Anderson AK today (80 miles) to pick up a new (to us) Tromal unit.... nice small little one that fits in the bed of a pick up or on a small trailer we have to build yet, to go behind the wheeleres... at 1100.00 and oz it is getting to where we can afford to hit some of the claims again, most of our claims are 25-35 miles off the road, soooo.... getting fuel and supplies and equipment into them is $$$$$$$$$... will post some photos later
  17. thats i kinda me there mossyhorn, my first bow is now a wall hanger, a 1984 Darton laminate bow, my second is an 03 martin MV3, and like you, when i shot the Z7, OH Boy was it time for an upgrade, smooth, easy to hold, lighter, more let off....i can hardly wait for April 1st...:cool2:
  18. also most ATV, dirt bike shops should carry the black polypro helmet liners. that wick moisture away. up here i can get them in nearly every store as face masks are popular at -40. let me know if you need help
  19. if it is not legal to shoot, why are you ready to? i dont carry my rifle with one in the pipe either... never shot anything i did not have time to load and take proper aim.
  20. thats what makes you lead right a lot the arrow falling off the rest is form and shaky draw. practice you will get better... try turning your bow down a few lbs to get used to shooting it with out working to hard
  21. I would rather the spring snows then early rain, it seeps in slower and does not carry as much water to flood things out.. it also helps soften any remaining ice rather then run off right away and make a icy mess everywhere...
  22. my experience will have to say the same thing... i have a gay person in our family... she tried for years to be straight.. it just never worked for her...
