Hoover dam is maybe 35 min from Vegas out the 215 to the 515. just watch for troopers... they were in full force last week strictly patroled... 15 cars pulled over in 1 mile and another line of motorcycle cops on the over pass waiting their turn.. the new over pass (by-pass) at the dam is an impressive site.. nearly 900 foot tall. would like to ride it once... ( HAHAHA NOT!) in an earth quake

i was very disappointed in both Cabalas and Bass pro looking for womens fit last week... neither store carried more then one or two things... what a way to encourage ( NOT!) ladies to get out with their men....

not being much a gambler... i like to hop casino to casino... see the sights there are tons of them... last time we stayed at the Excalibur and and went to the dinner show it was awsome... nights of the round table jousting... buxom women and the works... my first morning there. i got in the elevator to go find coffee and a rather Ahemmmm... AH hot barley dressed younger lady got on at the next floor... needless to say i got and " EXCUUUUUSE me" for staring i had to apologies and said i am sorry but folks in Fairbanks don't ever dress that way...She laughed ... "Alaska Eh?" here is one for free and gave-em a good wiggle.... i bought her coffee too that morning ... drinks are for the most part free if playing the slots or other.. i sat at the bar and 20 buck would last all night playing dollar poker on the machine..the shows are spendy but worth it... i even took (was hauled) mom to the THUNDER from Down under show... nothing like a room full of grandmas hooting at male strippers LOL

i use them in both my .45 and .44 the .44 gets a little better range about 20 yards max and the .45 is good to about 15 yards... the rifling in the barrel makes the shot spin to fast and spreads out quickly... not sure about using them on much larger then a squirrel or grouse as they typically have #8 shot in them or smaller

we no longer need the CC permit and see folks on a regualr basis with open carry around town... the only time it has come to light publicly... was one of the media fouls questioned the ability for folks to carry into Borough Assembly meetings. He got shut up by locals:cool2:

sounds like a bad tranny... how often is the fluid checked in it? did it stop acting up when she got off the ramp? if so i could just be low fluid..... if it is still doing it... probably worse then that... unfortuanlty those older vans cost more to have it rebuilt then they are worth sometimes.

i did that for a neighbor once.. Pawned his guns... i bought them and gave them back for x mas... the pawn owner called me three days later... he was pawning them again... so now i let folks make there own minds up...

isnt it odd that there has never been an accident like this off our coast... then a few mear months after off shoure exploration is to be allowed again... BooM? now the dems are all against it? as some one that was part of the valdez spill.. all i can say is brace your self... and any one out of work... get your butts to the beach... the oil co will pay high dollars for guys to wear haz mat( rain gear class B) and wash rocks... the valdez spill made many people lots of money... average was 35.00 an hour.. with as much as you could stand to do... and there is still oil there...

done... i took your other post to suggest you didn't want them there? are you baiting the bear or deer? both live in the same woods.. and by fall the bears will have moved on... this time of year is the rut of bears. the boars will range wide and far looking for sows... and will cruise by bait stands in search once in full rut. he appears young and may not be a breeder yet.. so will hit that bait often.. make sausage outa him be some good eating for sure if your allowed to bait them there... but as i mentioned in the other post.. deer feeders don't make good bear feeders unless you enjoy spending the cash on them... they tear stuff up..

well seen your other post definatly a male... long neck shows there... as for age looks young but need more side shots to see for sure...as for keeping him away? take your feeder down for at least two weeks. he will come back daily as long as it is there. make him move on.... soon he will learn the feeder makes the food and you wont have a feeder anymore... Trust me... you should see them crush a 55 gallon drum when they want food out of one... post a few more pics... please and i will age him close... but the long legs, skinny hind end... etc... looks like about a 3-4 year old.

Back to Alaska that is..... headed home in the morning. from Vegas with a good reminder as to why i still live in AK... went to phoenix yesterday, Cabalas in Glendale, and bass pro in Messa...( spent nearly a grand) met up with a good friend had lunch in town and steaks at his place in gilbert then had to find my way out of that loop da loop mess of road system they have there... the TRAFFIC was horid... and i have to ask my self how the heck people can live like that... wow... though i am headed back with some trepidation... dad is some better but not well.. my mom thinks he is on the way out... and he is not saying for real all thats up. i do know he is sure scared... so the next time i see him may well be the final good bye... i guess i need to be ready for it ... mom has stayed strong this week, my visit did her a world of good... I got a lot of repairs done for her.. and was able to get her Hay Delivery stacked today... so she should be good for a few months now... So all ... ADIÓS lower 48... don't think i will be missing the cluster mess down here at all... maybe next time some of you all will swing through my way.. LOL.... Headed home. Vince

Looks like California is going to impose economic boycotts on AZ... but the local business there are worried AZ will in turn do the same. and i suspect they will as members of the local Chamber of commerce are already talking about that here. I think all the western states should follow suit with this.. My wifes family is in Idaho where there is also a huge illegal problem... and in the words of Rush... If Cali wants them... let them have them. since that state is already nearly bankrupt it should do fine with the extra load or welfare cases.. and surprisingly enough Mexico governmet is against it???? they should applaude the move... maybe then they will be able to join the olympics next go around with everyone that can run, Jump, or Swim....
