  1. PRAISE GOD FOR THESE INSPIRATIONAL AND INSPIRING TRUE STORIES: Have you ever seen a more beautiful smile than this one. Our attitude towards life defines not only who we are, but the quality of life we will have. http://www.powerfulintentions.org/forum/topics/having-a-bad-day-lost-all-hope THE SMELL OF RAIN. (The smell of God). An extremely inspirational true story. Verified by 'Snopes.' This has been on the internet for a while, but it's always refreshing to see God's miracles both past and present. http://www.prolife.org.nz/cool/the-smell-of-rain/index.htm
  2. Before we get to our main topic about Nick Vujicic, who was born without any arms or legs and view his video, lets read what Dr Charles Swindoll says about attitude. Attitude: By Dr Charles Swindoll The longer I live, the more I realize the impact of attitude on life. Attitude, to me, is more important than facts. It is more important than the past, than education, than money, than circumstances, than failures, than successes, than what other people think or say or do. It is more important than appearance, giftedness or skill. It will make or break a company... a church... a home. The remarkable thing is we have a choice every day regarding the attitude we will embrace for that day. We cannot change our past... we cannot change the fact that people will act in a certain way. We cannot change the inevitable. The only thing we can do is play on the one string we have, and that is our attitude... I AM CONVINCED THAT LIFE IS 10% OF WHAT HAPPENS TO ME AND 90% OF HOW I REACT TO IT. And so it is with you... we are in charge of our attitudes. NO ARMS, NO LEGS, NO WORRIES NICK VUJICIC WAS BORN WITH NO ARMS AND NO LEGS. THE MAN HAS NO LIMBS. BUT HE HAS A BIG DESIRE TO HELP OTHER PEOPLE LIKE HIM. THE YOUNG MAN CHAIRS 'LIFE WITHOUT LIMBS ORGANIZATION' THAT PROVIDES ASSISTANCE TO MILLIONS OF OTHER DISABLED INDIVIDUALS. Vujicic was born in Australia's Melbourne into a religious Christian family. The boy was born with no arms and only one leg. His only leg is atrophied and has only two toes. Needless to say that the boy constantly had to face a great deal of problems as he was growing up. Nick wanted to commit suicide at age of eight. However, he later realized that if he could manage to live a normal life without limbs then he could inspire other handicapped people. When he turned 17, he organized a not-for-profit organization 'Life Without Limbs.' Nick has his own web-site and will pass on to you his Christmas message in this video. Check out Nick's other DVD's listed on this site. http://www.lifewithoutlimbs.org/media-center/videos PRAISE GOD.
  3. We've sure gone astray from what Our Founding Fathers had given us.
  4. Political correctnes originated in Germany, 1923. And it originated with a communist (socialist) doctrine. Political correctness remains just what it was intended to be; a sophisticated and dangerous form of censorship and oppression inposed upon the citizenry with the ultimate goal of manipulating, brainwashing and destroting our society.
  5. Shall We Be 'Politically Correct' Sermon. By Richard W O'Ffill I don't remember when we first began to use the term 'politically correct.' These days it's commonplace to hear that something is politically correct or perhaps is not politicalloy correct. I could give you an example of some of the issues that are politically correct or not politically correct, but if I did, it wouldn't be politically correct! We probably shouldn't be surprised by the things that the world comes up with. These days you can expect almost anything. Scripture cautions us about the world and tells us that we must be careful not to allign ourselves with it, because if we do, we will soon find ourselves becoming an enemy of God. It also says that if we insist on loving the world, the love of the Father will not be in us (1 John 2:15). What is the Bible talking about when it admonishes us not to love the world? After all, we live in this place. When the Bible tells us not to love the world, it is refering to accepting the perspective of the world or having contemporary view of things. By a worldly perspective of life I mean that our decisions are based on what the majority happen to be into at a particular time. Sometimes we refer to this process as peer pressure. Some will claim it is unfair to say that in the contemporary culture the majority is always wrong. Yet history pretty well bears that out. Jesus put it in plain Aramaic when He said that broad is the road that leads to destruction, and it is always congested with traffic (Matthew 7:13). So that you can visualize what He was talking about. He meant that the road to **** would look like one of the Los Angeles freeways at rush hour. But Jesus also spoke of another road (Matthew 7:14). He taught that the road that leads to eternal life dosen't have as much traffic, but nevertheless one has to be very careful when one drives one's life on it because it is so narrow. We must not allow ourselves to have the perspective of the world which is the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life. Jesus made it clear that the person who is hung up on the flesh will stand the risk of losing both body and soul. Jesus taught that a person's life is not about food, cloths, houses, nor good looks, but about the eternal things of the Kingdom of heaven. The worldly perspective of life is just the opposite. The world teaches that the more we have, the happier we will be. The world boasts that life is about food, cloths, houses, good looks, and sex. What does blow my mind, however, is how in this generation the world seemingly has become the role model for the church. This is a modern tragedy; and unless we change it, it will mean the collapse of Christianity as we have known it. I have come to the conclusion that if things continue as they are, not only is our church at risk but Christianity itself. Have you ever considered what the Old Testament is about? Consider for a moment. The Old Testament is the history of what happened when the Children of Israel began to be culturally sensitive to the nations that surrounded them. The Old Testament is a story of what happened when Israel tried to be politically correct. The Church has never gone down like the World Trade Towers, suddenly and all at once. Its fall has usually been the result of something that was going on internally and over a period of time. It was the result of being politically correct. I might be wrong, but I believe that the term 'politically correct' is an expression that is being used to force the ideas and points of view of an agendized few on the rest of us. Not only that, but the words 'politically correct also mean that it is not to be talked about anymore. It's a done deal!' If this were not bad enough, the concept of political correctness has somehow gotten into the church. This will have far-reaching implications, because it will allow error to be institutionalized while truth is being intimidated into not being able to respond or to rebut what may be going on. It often amazes me that the great majority of people, whether in our country or even in the church, so often choose to remain silent and in effect, cast their lot with whatever happens to be politically correct at the time. I could only wish that, in the spirit of Christ, more people would stand up and let their voices be heard. When we do not hear the voices of many, what ends up happening is that things soon are taken over by a radicalized minority, and then the debate is stopped in the name of political correctness. 6. Olberman's not stupid. My Opinion. The conservative party is a far cry as to what it was 50 years ago. Conservatives are no longer conservative and would have to be considered liberal. And liberals are no longer liberal but socialists. Olberman is a socialist with a socialist agenda and the only way socialist's can sell their agenda is my fabrication and distortion of facts. The American public is the biggest sucker in this bag of socialist tricks. To many American people are enchanted with the idea of government bail-outs for delequent morgage and credit card debt and don't consider the government infringement on their future rights. In other words, American's are becoming more and more dependent upon the government to come to their rescue. Yes, the liberal socialists will continue to attempt to chip away at our gun rights, but the only way they can get full control of these rights and disarm the American public would be through Marshall Law, which only the president can invoke. This could only happen if our economy and social morality were to deteriate and the American people came begging to the White House front door for government intervention. Crime is out of control throughout the United States and it's going to get a lot worse as our country is bankrupt and most cities and states don't have the funds for additional police protection for it's citizens. In California we have the Mexican Mafia, crime syndicates and gangs and we have no budget that will give us our needed protection. And don't tell me it can't happen in your back yard. California has been and always will be the tip of the iceberg. I sincerely hope these things don't happen to our country and the one way to curtail this process is to make sure Obama dosen't get a second term in office. If he should, we only have ourselves to blame for future eventualities. My opinion, my opinion only. 'When a country has the Right to Bear Arms, they are called citizens. When a Nation is disarmed they become subjects."
  7. I didn't think so... The Model T was affordable and got people traveling across the United States. And I'm sure it took many hunters to their hunting destination, however, I wouldn't tie my deer, elk, or moose down on the front fender of a Model T! And you could say it was the first off-road vehicle ever produced considering there weren't many if any paved roads in those days. Interesting Ford Model T history video. http://www.modelt.org/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=52&Itemid=72

  18. The Israel - Russian Treaty produced in 2006 is a part of Bible Prophecy and could be called the 'end times' prophecy. Many things are yet to come that have been prophecised in the Bible. There will be some very destructive things coming and these things must be in place before the 2nd glorious coming of Jesus Christ. These are extremely exciting times for Christians as many of you will see much of the 'end of times' prophecy unfold. The only advise I would give to anyone regarding the 2nd coming is to not let this matter consume you. We are to live our life as usual... and usual means to live our Christian life as if the 2nd coming of Jesus Christ were at any moment! 19. Fastest Gun Ever? Bob Munden holds 18 world records. Not only is he fast, he is accurate. This is what a whole lot of practice can do for you!
  20. The ultimate amount of recoil you can absorb. For myself my 44 Magnum is my limit and it took several trips to the range until I could become, lets say respectable with it. How about a 60 Caliber? This video shows a custom built on Thompson Encore (fancy version of the Thompson Contender). The Caliber.... 600 Nitro Express. That's right... an elephant gun round in a handgun. The story goes that a guy built it is some kind of custom gun maker, and built this as an exhibition piece. He takes it to the range just to show it off, and the big guy that shot it (in the video) had been bugging the builder to let him shoot it. Only until fairly recently (early-mid 80's IIRC) the 600 Nitro Express was hands down the biggest, nastiest, hardest hitting, and heaviest recoiling weapon you could buy. It was designed for one simple purpose... to knock an elephant flat on it's fannie! This cartridge is well known for breaking collarbones, arms, shoulders of the shooter. In the gun world they use what is termed a 'recoil index' to kind of give a prospective buyers an idea of what a gun's recoil will be. A 30-06 gets a rating of a 1.0, which for many people is about the limit of what they can absorb shooting multiple rounds comfortably. a 243 BR is rated at like a 0.4, a 270 is an 0.8, etc. The 600 Nitro Express is rated at a 9.4.... 9.4 times more punishing that a 30-06. Watch the video and watch where the gun goes. The video provides a clear and definitive example of one lucky idiot!
  21. One thing for sure, these early frontiersmen understood exterior ballistics for the knowledge that was available in that particular time frame. And remember they were shooting a single shot rifle so they knew the importance of shot placement. One of the most famous Sharps shooters was Billy Dixon. Sharps and Billy Dixon: http://www.gunblast.com/BillyDixon_Sharps.htm Here's some more information, history, and performance regarding the Sharps 45-70. 45-70 Encyclopedia: http://www.absoluteastronomy.com/topics/.45-70
  22. Sharps, What a historical name in our firearm history. It's pretty well documented that some of the Sharps calibers could be very accurate at 1000 yards. And there's also documentation that it could reach out and touch someone at 1500 yards, (Billy Dixon). This Buffalo hunt was with a Sharps 45-70 which is considered not a real long range caliber compared to the improved 45-70-500. I'm estimating this shot taken would be between 125 to 150 yards, just a guess. Sharps 45-90 shooting clip from 'Quigley Down Under.' http://www.metacafe.com/watch/yt-J7y9vtVG4eY/quigleys_sharps/
  23. I would think that my comment was self explanatory. Where would you like to go with this topic?
