  1. Still have two weeks to wait here. Taking a little fella out for youth this weekend. Hopefully we can make it happen and carry some luck over from last year. Keep at it and be persistent. It'll all come together
  2. I'm good with strut stoppers. Only a few more weeks until our season. Time is dragging by.
  3. I looked on a map and Naples. Looms like a lot of pavement and concrete. Where do you hunt do that way? In the watershed? Its a bit of a far ride for me. I live about 20 hours from Jacksonville and Tampa is a solid four hours from there. I don't think I'll be able to get down that far in my four or five day vacation. My buddy's dad owns a farm out in Raiford so I think we will be around that area.
  4. I know your in Florida somewhere but how close to Jacksonville are you? I'm trying to put together a vacation down that way in the fall of 2015. Do some pig and white hunting out around those parts.
  5. They should grow pretty good. Hope you get the buck. I'm still searching for my deer with my bow. Wish you the best. Keep posting pics and keeping us updated
  6. Have a safe trip, post some pictures when you can and enjoy yourself.
  7. I saw two toms strutting this afternoon on my way home. Having a month and some change until the opener here really makes me wonder if they are going to be all jacked up. Strut stoppers works for me. I'll just throw out some ideas also. Thunder struck Rubber neckers Tom foolery Just a few I have been thinking about.
  8. Our season opens May 1st. Its a Thursday but luckily I'm able to get out before work. Heard some gobbling already. I'm getting anxious.

    Tracks?

Heard through the grape vine wolves are headed east..... I wouldn't claws would be visible if it were at cat. I'm not sure tho. Anyone around you have a German shepherd? I got confused over a track in a sand pit last summer. Eventually figured out it was a pet.
  10. Looking forward to this year. Hope tag out again.
  11. A true tragedy. Unfortunately we will never know the truth about the events. Maybe the box will reveal what happened if they are able to locate it. With all the technology in the world I figured that planes would be on some sort of GPS tracker during the entire flight path to help at least locate the plane in cases such as this.
  12. Oh joy. Goof thing I capitalized on the warm weather this weekend. Got my food plot area cleared out for the most part.
  13. Bug house and I live about 15 minutes apart but have yet to meet.
  14. The KING speaks out. I read something on ESPN about his comments. all I can say about it is. wow for a man who has so many of today's drivers looking up to him he sure can be pretty disrespectful and talk about putting a negative light on his own program.
  15. I'm not. Just haven't got around to joining.
  16. I guess they didn't channel their inner Mick Dundee. Lol.
  17. I am in the hunt for a good quality collapsible decoys. I like the color of the Suzie and snood decoys. The problem is the cost. Suzie runs about 60 bucks and snood is around 80 dollars. I really don't have a lot of money to spend on them. I have three hen and one Jake decoy made by Cherokee outdoors. They are inflatable and not exactly the fastest to set up or the best quality. If anyone out there knows of a good inexpensive brand I would more than appreciate it. Thanks.
  18. I bought mine three years ago and have used it for everything from squirrel to deer. She is well used and I'm thinking of getting it dipped again but haven't fully decided in what pattern. If you already picked it up. Please post a pick of it. I would like to see how it looks.
  19. It should serve you well. I got my first bird with it at about forty five yards. The ease of cleaning and simplicity of it makes it so great and reliable. Another thing is its very long with the barrel on it its close to four feet long. But other than that its great. I hope you enjoy it. What finish or graphics are they offering now?
  20. I love it. Its pretty much the same the Mossberg 500 just a 3.5. The only thing I find to be a pain is the accu-choke system. Have only been able to find chokes through Mossberg. I dropped 50 bucks on a xx-full choke for turkey but as far a choke for buck shot and such it comes with the standard chokes full, improved cylinder and modified. Other than that in my opinion its on of the best bangs for the buck. 400 is all I paid at bass pro shops for it. And being very familiar with the m500 model makes break down, cleanings and re-assembly a breeze. Mine has the 28inch barrel standard stock on it with waterfowl camo print on it. The finish is starting to wear on it but I have absolutely nothing to complain about. Oh and it comes with a plug in it so its pretty much ready for anything you can go after. My uncle owns a mossberg maverick and the barrels are interchangeable at least his to mine was. I am pretty sure you could do the same with the 500 if you wanted to for slug barrel or what not. Don't hold me to that. Not 100% on it. Wouldn't get rid of it for anything. Got my first deer and turkey with it.
  21. OK thanks. I think my wife lab is to much of sissy dog to do anything like that. He is scared of his own shadow. But its worth a shot.
  22. How did you start the training for sheds?
