  1. A true tragedy, could not imagine that happening around here but this isn't about here. Prayers will be sent with out a doubt. When my wife told me i got an instant knot in my stomach. Kids didn't even have a chance to enjoy life . The saying everything happens for a reason doesn't fit with this. No reason in the universe can be used to justify anything like this. Makes me sick just thinking about it.

    Back from Texas

Congratulations. Very impressive tropheys. Getting either mounted?
  3. I read the article at the gas station and I think its kind of ironic that he wounds it then goes to finish it off with a knife and ends.getting in trouble. I know people who will only shoot the neck but that's not a safe bet. As in this case. I do wish him a.speedy recovery. Only TEN months left til next season.

    Are cars evil??

    Couldn't agree more.

    Axe men

I watch every now and then, haven't heard anything about it.
  6. Mossberg 500. Maybe a gun shop will have a few more used choices but its an old reliable for me. Got my 3 1/2 " for 400 from bass pro.
  7. Your down by brattleboro right? I would go to dicks over in Keene NH and they should be able to help. If you can make it Claremont NH they have a.good archery shop called Stearns. That's the only archery places I know of in the area. Maybe going to Bass Pro down in Foxboro or Cabelas off 84. Good luck with the search and don't let anyone pressure you in to a bow you haven't shot or doesn't feel good to you in your hands.
  8. Congratulations. Haven't seen much activity since the second week of gun. Glad that someone has had success. I'm still pursuing one until last light tonight. How much did she weigh?
  9. Idk if its like the equipment I have worked on but it just be a heater hose popped free. Either way keep us posted. Good luck hope its not to pricey.

    Weird Deer

Wonder if it had an effect on the back straps?.... kind of a cool trophey in a way.
  12. Don't know much about hogs but I have seen alot of videos with complete pass throughs on hogs. The hard thing to say about it is the animals have two different anatomys.
  13. Check on sportsman's guide. They jace deals on wild game innovation cams and guide gear stands.
  14. Agree with the land issue. Its crazy how it happens. People buy it up then post it then hunt others land like its.no big deal. Its their right but dang. I am in Springfield and have only doe. The weather the last two years has been less than favorable for us hunters as for those who don't enjoy the.cold then its great for them. I'm crossing my fingers trying to break my four year dry spell here. I got one in Virginia two years ago so its not a complete dry spell. Its funny how Uncle Ted refers to Michigan about being had to hunt them and be successful since they are on edge all the time and I feel its the same here. Obviously I summed up what I think he is meaning but you get my point. I wish you luck this weekend and I have to wish my self.luck since u don't seem to be having any. But its.hunting nothing is a guarantee.
  15. I'm assuming you entered the lottery? Congratulations on being selected and on your accomplishment. No easy task here in Vermont.
  16. I use the Scott shark and I love it.
  17. Maybe its more so that your daughter is still young and it stresses her out that you wouldn't be there to help. I agree with you on compromising but 100%. I am assuming you work and would like free.time also so don't give up everything. Just endure through this then when your daughter is old enough bring he along with you. My wife is with our son all day and night. Hardly gets a break so when I can then I help out but she is a bit more easy on me when it comes to hunting but not so much during the off season. I would say help out as much as she is willing to let you and hope that you can slip away for a few hours. Oh I had this problem with my buddy and his wife. We did a all day hunt which wasn't the best idea we have had but anyway she got furious that he didn't leave the woods for a few hours. Needless to say he wasn't in the woods tthe next day. I don't know if you are an all day guy or not but something to ponder. Not much help frombthis way just some insight.
  18. Took a shot at one and that was the last I have seen of it in that particular spot.
  19. I got nockturnals and am happy with them. Only issue is one of them will not light when fired. I have to manually turn it on which isn't exactly ideal. I does work good for practicing tho.
  20. Welcome. Have been checking out the videos you post. Enjoy them, keep it up and enjoy the forum.
  21. Good luck. Hope one steps out and gives you a shot.

    New job

Started a new career today. Got a decent job at Ruger. Working on the 10/22 rifle. First day came and went. It was with out a doubt a learning experience. Got a good guy teaching me the ropes so I don't expect to take to long getting up to speed. Lets see where it goes.
  23. I hope next year goes better for you and tour family. Mine left me empty handed aswell but like you motivation! Still got muzzle loader and late archery to make it happen. Keep your head and spirits up friend.
