  1. Re: Whos kids like to hunt? I've got 3 boys ages 17, 14, and 11. My two oldest could care less, but my youngest likes to go. Thank you!!!!!!!!
  2. Re: Has anyone seen the movie 3 [ QUOTE ] I didnt know dale, so I dont know how accurate it was.but it was ok [/ QUOTE ] I was listening to MRN last Tuesday night on the radio and Richard Childress wasn't impressed with it. I can understand as close as he was. But I was happy with it.
  3. Re: Has anyone seen the movie 3 Several times. I just don't remember to get the DVD.
  4. Re: Video Editing software I've been using Pinnacle Studio 9. This is my 1st time doing this stuff and it is pretty easy.

    Military/war pics

Re: Military/war pics Yep that's a good one. It was in the politocal forum awhile back too. You can never get enough of it.......
  8. Re: Fletching I haven't, but my buddy has. He used them for awhile, but went back to vanes.
  9. Re: super bowl I had a hunch about GB, but so much for that. Bulger is a pretty cool cucumber and St Louis will be in the SB vs Pittsburgh. It'll make news because Bulger is from near Pittsburgh. But the Black and Gold will prevail.
  10. Re: Fletching [ QUOTE ] "especially if you're new to 3D, but if you're shooting hunter class, I think those are illegal." Does any one know the shortest size fletch you can use for the hunter class? [/ QUOTE ] Jaybird, if you are shooting IBO rules, I think they are min. 4". But if it's the Hunter Class in ASA, it doesn't matter. If you are shooting 3D locally, you should ask what their rules are because they can differ from the national organizations.
  11. Re: Wild Game/Hunting trivia - HELP Don't ask me for the answers, but how about things like: - glands deer use making a scrape - name the horns G2, etc. - sounds of turkeys - moon phases (when on the calendar)
  12. Re: OK, What is the: Realtree Direct Desktop program? Oh, ok. I have tunnel vision and usually go straight to the forum link! Thanks.
  13. I saw the homepage poll and had to ask! So what is the Realtree Direct Desktop program?
  14. Re: vanes or feathers? Vanes. They last longer than feathers.
  15. Re: Near Death Experiences... I had one back in the cold winter of '76 or 77 when I was 12 or so. Actually it was that spring when the river by my house thawed, broke up and all the ice jammed down stream in a bend. The rains had the river probably 10 ft above normal and moving fast while the ice was all on top. Like a dumb butt, I take a stick to test the ice and walk out in the middle of the river. I got back within 10 ft of the bank and fell through. I caught myself at the armpits and luckily worked my way out.

    Competion Shoots?

    Re: Competion Shoots? and bowsite.com
  17. Re: Fletching I like 4" for hunting and 2.3" for 3D's and AAE Plastifletch vanes and cheap superglue gel from Wal-mart. I use an AZ E-Z fletcher with an offset. I shoot Gold Tip XT's and can't speak for the fatboys. If they are like CE CXL's, well, I won't shoot those anymore.
  18. Re: Look what my 8 yr old got... Tell your son congratulations for me. That's awesome!

    Randy Moss

Re: Randy Moss [ QUOTE ] It's payback. The fans moon the bus, moss moons the fans. Whatever happened to good ole fun in sports. Rivalry traditions.....lighten up people..... [/ QUOTE ] AMEN. If that's all we have to complain about, life is good!
  20. Re: What do you like to see in a hunting video? - I HATE when some high dollar sports figure is drug out to a ranch by the hand, told to go here, and shoots a ranch raised big rack buck. It degrades the hard work the rest of us has to do to find deer on our own. - I like to see a little humor. - Bowhunting normal deer, not farm raised bucks. - If you do use a deer farm, choose a blue-collar worker who has never shot a nice one before. But has busted his butt for years trying. - Slo-mo pass-throughs are COOL. - Show the entry and exit wounds when it's skinned out. - Let the kids shoot a doe, and not some 150" buck. That's enough from me!
  21. Re: I just could NOT believe it..... That's okay. Bush won the important peoples choice award.
  22. Re: nascar driver #3 - The rest are just drivers.
  23. Re: What Is Your Occupation?? USAF for 19 years. Aircraft maintainer doing quality assurance on DOD contracts.

    NEEDS INFO

Re: NEEDS INFO hoyt, find a 3D shoot, tell them you want to shoot the novice class or that you are a beginner and let them put you on a stake you are comfortable with. Don't let peer pressure put you on the farthest stake away. When beginning, just go out and have fun, ask questions and have fun. You don't need alot of equipment starting out. Don't take it serious, have fun. Did I say have fun? All you need is your bow you want to shoot and arrows with field tips. Start simple and then later take some binos to see the scoring rings, and then worry about the other gadgets. My 1st 3D is in two weeks, but our state started this weekend.
  25. Re: Gold Tip Question Nope. But I've found the GT nocks handle abuse better than the Eastons.
