Re: Racial slurrs Defending himself?????.......O.K, how is this theory for you....what if he was an anti-hunter, and set this whole thing up........the guy was walking out to 40 feet or so, and took his scope off his gun...WHY???, so he could shoot rapidly open sights, the way our military taught him......he is an army vet, and words are words, he still shot all those people, and no radio traffic heard by anyone left alive in the party initiates "self defense"......sorry, I feel he is a killer, and maybe wanted to be for a long time, and thought this out.........al

Re: Some sick SOB is killing Wisconsin deer hunters Truly a horrible turn of events.....I'd bet the two hunters that showed this killer the road was glad they found out he ran out of ammo....no matter what the nationality is of the suspect, killing is killing......I really am sick over this, and my prayers go out to the family of the victims....so sad...and I will bet that they will be guarding that guy in a seg unit, cause I cant imagine him not getting killed in custody over this one.....inmates have a way of doing those things. al

Re: Shotgun season... I may be in fact buying more archery tags after this weekend.............had a guy planted on stand right next to the fenceline, on the property I always have deer on....this idiot was smoking, passing gas, and basically a viking in orange......and to top it off, he was a rude individual....I had my 11 year old son with me, and let me tell you, it makes an impression.......no shots taken by us, we didnt see a thing.....Ill keep you posted, we still have the second part of the shotgun season, a great friend and forum member that shows on occasion has offered to take the boy and me, and he grows em till their old with lots of antlers.......I just want meat, and my son to score on a deer............take care fellow archers, and be safe..............al

Here I sit after an executed shot on Veterans day....I was on stand in the high winds in Illinois with an antlerless tag sitting in the pouch....rules have it that we can only harvest (2) bucks a year with antlers over 3 inches, so since I was giving my son a shot at a buck during shotgun season with daddy, I decided NOT to buy any further bow tags, and fill my doe tag.....well, at 8:10am a medium doe came walking down the trail, I watched it forever, it was a buddies property, and I felt great that the wind was in my favor, and my Darton was on the money out to oblivion if need be..lol..(kidding)....well, thirty yards broadside, double lunged HER....when I went to tag my doe, it was a button buck...still legal for my tag, just kinda kicking myself for missing those little things, cause his other little thing was almost non existant either........you can yell at me if you want, I really thought for sure it was a DOE....ugggggggggg........prettiest shot broadside I made all season though........al

Re: Hunters Scored for 2004!!! Well lets update.....(1) 9 point buck dead with bow on October 14th....then just two days ago, November 11th...shot a button buck, I thought for sure it was a DOE....I was positive before the shot, and well, it happens....two dead for D-man...............al

Re: Got a Doe Tonight You have a dead deer, spine shots happen to all of us, but the freezer is getting use this year it looks like......congrads on another deer buddy......al

Re: thinking of trying some magnus broadheads OK here is the update you asked for...your gonna get good blood if you hit lungs, all my deer shot with the Nuge blade didnt go over 70 yards tops.....the real question here Im getting is "best bang for your buck" this would be the Nugent blade, and while your at it, have your buddy trash those Satelites, and get Nuge blades as well.........but if your bow is tuned, and you have a hard time finding blood, Id spend the extra bucks and get an easy tune broadhead, like the 100 grain 4 blade Muzzy....trust me, the blades can be resharpened if your in a pinch with a wet stone if you know how to use it.....if you want a great flying head, and keep the angle of the head correct, then the Nuge blade kills deer.....keep me posted through PM's if I can help further buddy.....Im getting pumped to see your harvests, it will happen if you wait and take the correct shots.................al
