I drove through the area SE of Norman this past weekend, and buddy, that was one hot fire. We saw a house that was not relatively close to the flames that had the vinyl siding melt. That fire as well as alot of others have pretty much killed all the trees in their paths, and just reduced homes to rubble. Hopefully this cooler weather brings in much needed rain

I was headed west on Mon, and Arkansas had NNW winds at 20-30, so not really a head wind, but maybe bad enough. Thing is once I hit Oklahoma, no wind, and the mileae still sucked. I'm gonna fill up this weekend and see what happens

Here's the skinny: Went to Alabama Christmas day, got about 17.5MPG. Came back this past Mon, and got from 14.3 to 16. Same road, same everything. Truck is a 2010 Silverado 4x4 with the 5.3, 6sp tranny, and 3.08 gears. Some of the gas was ethanol based, same as on the trip out. Last tank was real gas. Don't think there was much of a difference. Any ideas?
