  2. Re: Southern Zone NY Doe (one pic) congrats on the doe
  3. Re: Bowhunting Advice that is a tough call. we gun hunt the same land that we bow hunt, but it is 700 acres so there are more deer, ground etc. and we still do good late season. You have to think that the people around you will be gun hunting so the deer on you 100 acres will be shot at, so I say go for it. Why let someone else take the big boy on the adjoining farm?????

  18. Re: What would you do??(hypothetical) been there and done that, if i take any of my friends to my spots, even on public land, i make it clear they can't tell any of there friends and i would appreciate them only hunting them with me. I know it is public but i have spent about ten years finding honey holes on public land that don't get much use and I like to keep them that way.
  19. I got my stepdad into hunting about four years ago now, so everytime he does something I still feel a little sense of accomplishment. He had never hunted a day in his life and now he is addicted to it all. I hunted this spot a few nights ago and passed on ten does and saw some bucks come out about 100 yards down, so last night I put him on the doe spot and I moved down about 100 yards. No bucks for me, I passed on seven more does waiting on the big guy and my stepdad arrowed this guy, and the Cardinals won last night, what a great freakin day it was........
  20. Re: Buck Down!! First with my Bow.. great deer, congrats
  21. Re: No more hunting ??? bow is allowed here in saint louis within city limits, just no guns
  22. Re: Midwest-when to rattle? I am in Missouri and the past week I have seen two different sets of bucks starting to chase eachother around. Both times a bigger buck was running off a smaller buck in a food plot. The farms where this happened are about two hours apart, so I don't think it was a freak occurence. To answer your question I would say now..........
  23. Re: its about that time shot one small doe, passed on a bunch of other does, about twelve, and got busted by a nice eight point at 25 yards....seen some nice bucks on two of the places I hunt though, I am trying to get one before the sholder thumpers get out there and take em out
