I had a pretty exciting hunt this afternoon. I had a young 7-point give me several shot opportunities within 20 yards. I have some time off this week, and the rut should be heating up in by the weekend. -
Muggs...the greatest sports mind on Realtree.com! You are right on the money with that post. What a lot of people fail to understand is that Favre used NYJ lsat year. Playing for NYJ was simply a formality so he could get to Minnesota. He didn't care whether or not he won there. You knew he would fake another retirement, get released from NYJ and then come back again and join Minnesota. This past offseason should have been no surprise to anyone. Minnesota was two plays from being 4-2, but they got good breaks and lucky with them and are 6-0. Wait until that team has to play outside in the elements. Just remember Minnesota fans, 'ol Brent is NOT doing this for you or your team. His only goal is to stick it to Ted Thompson and Green Bay. He accomplished that with the win earlier this month. If Minnesota wins on November 1, then his work is done. It is highly unlikely he'll return for another season. If GB wins on November 1, Brent will be back. I'll stop there. No need for another Favre rant from me. :hammer1:

I like Twitter. I started an account to follow a couple of the guys who would give live results from some of the local dirt tracks on the weekends. Since then I've started to follow a few other racing accounts, GB Packers accounts, Brewers, etc. It is pretty cool. I don't use Twitter as a "social" thing like most people do. With who I'm following, it is sort of like a news page with only the information I care about. The only updates I do is our racing results and the occasional "how many deer did I see" update.

Congrats Eric! That is a great buck! This morning I just watched the fields. We didn't see anything, so my brother and I decided to walk to check out the cameras and do some scouting. We found a spot that is tore up with buck sign. We found eight to ten scrapes and at least eight rubs in a 50 yard stretch. We'll be putting up a stand there tomorrow. We did see one doe a couple hundred yards away in the pasture on our walk out. Here are some of my Cuddeback pictures from this week. There are a few pictures I'll post after the season (or sooner, hopefully). I promise to show you guys some better bucks later on. OK, since the pictures are huge, I'll post a link to the album that I have the pictures uploaded to. You can check them out if you like. http://forums.huntingresource.com/index.php?app=gallery&module=user&user=97&do=view_album&album=73 -

Nice! Congrats! -
Finn seems to be doing fine. He and his family recently moved into a new house. We exchange emails quite frequently.

Told ya. The Vikings are the better team. GB's defense couldn't get any pressure of Fav-ruh and that made it easy for him to pick apart the injured secondary. The old man still has it when he has some time to throw. Green Bay made the right decision going with Rodgers as the QB. Once again, he was not the reason the team lost last night. He played very well considering Jared Allen and the rest of the Minnesota d-line was in the backfield as soon as the ball was snapped. Green Bay has some work to do this week. Glad it is a bye week.

I'm hoping Green Bay can get the win. This one is important because Green Bay cannot fall two games behind Minnesota in the division. I could live with a split with Minnesota this year, as long as Green Bay wins November 1. Looking at it on paper, Minnesota should win. Their d-line is so good and Green Bay's o-line is so bad. Rodgers will be under a lot of pressure tonight and will get hit and sacked a lot. However, I have a feeling Green Bay will somehow pull this one off. Minnesota's secondary is suspect, and if Rodgers can get some time, he should be able to get a few deep passes. Minnesota should win by 7. But, I'm going out on a limb and saying Green Bay wins 27-21.

Go Pack Go! You'd be welcomed in Lambeau Nation. Just be sure to stream 540 ESPN Milwaukee all day, at least at 10:00 AM Central to listen to Lambeau Live with Jason Wilde.

Superbad Fargo Third would be a toss-up between Saw II and Escanaba in Da Moonlight.
-
"In-Pursuit with Greg Miller" and "Driven TV with Pat and Nicole" are the only two shows I always watch.

Even if you get your speed back, I would suggest cleaning up your computer. This is what I use at home and at work... http://www.ccleaner.com/

Congrats Randy!

"The D-List" and "WGSTS w/ Homer" on ESPN Milwaukee are my two favorites. "Mike & Mike" is also good. "The Herd" is a good show when E.K. is the host. I can't stand Colin Cowherd.
-
101.1 WIXX out of Green Bay in the morning. Their morning show hosts are very funny. 104.1 out of Merrill or 106.1 out of Antigo are the other two stations I listen to fairly regularly. I really wish I could get ESPN Milwaukee (540 AM) up here. I listen to that on the computer at work.

Exactly. A-Rod will be one of the 3 or 4 best QB's in the league by the end of the year or the end of 2010.
-
LOL! No, hardly a shrine at my place. About the only Favre thing I have is the SI after the Seattle playoff game a couple years ago. My brother has an autographed helmet and football though.:laser:
-
Man, you guys had an awesome year, Russell! Congrats to you and your brother!
-
Prayers sent, Randy.

Yes sir. He already has all his excuses lined up for poor play. I just can't believe Vikings fans are spending their hard earned money on this guy's jersey and other Favre stuff. Do they not realize that Favre is not doing this to help Minnesota. He is only doing this to stick it to Green Bay and Ted Thompson. Winning a Super Bowl is the farthest thing from his mind.
-
He looked like he was going to cry after every INT. I said it when Chicago traded for him...Cutler is NOT the answer to your problems. He is an improvement at QB, but has no weapons.

Congrats Slash! That is an awesome buck! Looks like he was just out of velvet, too. I can't believe how many bucks are still in velvet or just out of velvet around here. I've never seen them in velvet this long before. I had a pretty uneventful opening day. Nothing in the morning, but a cool encounter with a doe in the afternoon. She just never gave me a shot opportunity.
