Re: Am I a bad hunter Well it was the right ideal but wrong area. That is why I posted am I a bad hunter. There are alot of people who do not think much of certain types of hunting. It cracks me up all the time. I also see it as being a smart hunter. Trying to use the people who are going to change the deer patterns for 2 weeks to my advantage is the right thing to do. Might as well go fishing if I dont.

Since tomorrow is the day before gun season I am going to try to use the day before scouters to push a deer my way. It is just a experiment that might be productive in the future. They did mess me up on a chance at a doe tonight by pushing it back the way it came out while I was at the other end of the field. But I figure that there are a couple spots where I might get behind where the deer come out and the last day scouters go in. Am I a poor hunter or just someone who is taking advatage? Re: Got a pretty good cut today This past week I got a slice to the bone on one finger also. It was a clean cut and missed the tendon(unlike earlier this year) so I was good to go. You will live through it and have many more. You will also start saying "I don't have time to bleed"

Re: Over 40 hunting Heated toilet seat is not a bad ideal. I feel pretty good this morning. The temp is in the mid 20's but both older sons bailed on me. (The 15 year has wrestling parctice at 9 am so I will just hunt the afternoon) I took a couple ibuprofen this morning before I took mama to work so that is a help. Is Aleve any better?

Re: Mr. Miyagi Died. It is funny how some things from the movies end up in our lives. I say the wax on and wax off quite a few times a year and I also do the weird thing with one off the groud with arms out when I ask somebody to fight me. We all die sometime

I went out this morning with my 15 year old and the temperature was in the low teens. I dressed for it but still got a chill. (It was a great and fun hunt with a couple almost chances) However once I got home I felt old and tired. I fell asleep and woke up feeling worse and called off the afternoon hunt since I would rather go back to same spot in the morning. Does the cold affect you over 40 guys as much as it is starting to affect me?

Re: Anyone spending thanksgiving in the woods>? Wind was blowing pretty good this morning. The son and I tried to intercept a couple of does but as we sat there we ended up watching them go up the hill away from us. All together we ended up seeing 5 does this morning. None within bow range. But it was fun and it felt good.

Re: Stinkin Squirrel Hunters!!! I dislike it when my hunts do not go the way I planned because of other hunters. I imagine others thought about me in the same way also.But that is the way it goes
