I have been telling my oldest son (20 year old) that there is and never will be a job that comes looking for him. That he needs to get out and look for work and not sit at home 24 hours a day. Well last night there was a phone message. It was a friend of mine asking me if my son wanted a job driving and working for a carpet layer. I guess the guy with that job is moving on and they need a replacement. So he starts in a couple of weeks.

THe first time I shot a compound bow I had great groups at 20 yards within 10 minutes and within another 10 minutes I had the same at 30 yards. IT has been that way ever since. The only time I mess up is when a deer is my target. All 3 of my sons did the same shooting a compound in same amount of time. Unless the person learning is a complete klutz they can be shooting a compound well in under 30 minutes.

Re: crossbow debate popgun and Vermont Hunter. You guys can give excellant facts and examples and it would not change certain people one iota .Luckily we haveplenty of hunters here who just love to hunt and do not mind sharing the woods with others. Thanks for your efforts to educate.

Re: Sick to my stomach. Well I talked with the jr high coaches tonight and theysaid they will make me a copy of the rest of the games.

Well it looks like I will be missing some of my son's football games. I was told that starting Monday I will be on afternoon's at work. Between the 2 sons there are 9 games left and only 2 are on Saturday. I have no vacation time to use otherwhise I would. So Iknow for sure I will miss Monday's game (Freshman) anda few others until Ican make other plans with the bosses. But I really feel like I was kicked hard somewhere inspite of the fact that this will enable me to hunt pretty much every morning of the week once deer archery starts Oct 1st. My boys mean everything to me and this stinks. It cant be helped since we have to eat. It is better than not working anyway. Just needed to get it out.

I will admit that I am not blind in my patriotism. I always ask questions to find out the reasons "why" because of my distrust in the government and the politicians that pollute it.(err I think y'all aready know I dispise politicians )
