Re: How many of you....
I've done it a few times when I hunted by myself. Since I usually am out with someone(sons, wife and friends) it is a rare occasion.
I would like to but I do not see it happening this year.
Re: What does it take to be a \"REAL\" hunter.
There are many here like you john. Not enough time to do what we need to do. Seems like life gets in the way.

Re: An honest question for Republicans.
Political party affliation is okay if it gains you something.
If not why bother with the worst thing this country has to offer. (This includes ALL political parties DUH)
Re: crossbow debate
I have one. I actually use it once in awhile too if my youngest son is not hunting. My wife has one also.
So I would say I am for it.
Re: My Dilema
I agree with Jim and redbeard.
When I go on public lands I do my best to avoid others Nothing to do but wave and move on when it does.
People usually hunt the same spots year after year. If your spot is away from the heavier used areas it still should be fine.
Re: Pledge of Allegiance Declared Unconstitutional
I believe that government should stay out of religion because everything they do gets screwed up. I also believe that I should be able to practice my faith where ever I choose.
Whether or not the phrase "under GOd" is official or not I and mine will use it. It does not affect my patriotism or faith one iota.
If that makes me a liberal to anybody then I will vote Democratic Party until you say Iam just a American.
Re: deer view mirror
It really isn't anything you could not rig up for yourself without it costing much. Truthfully I think it would be a distraction in the long run.
Re: First deer
Congrats to your son and you
I have had the pleasure and thrill of being there when all 3 of my sons took their first deer. Nothing can beat it for sure.
Normally Mom or I always pick up the 2 youngest sons after football practices. On Friday there was no practice for the 8th or 9th graders since it is game day for varsity.
Well Mom told the freshman to make sure the 8th grader got on the bus since he was not sure which one to take.(Jr.High and HighSchool are next to each other)
Well guess who missed the bus? Yep it was the freshman.....
Re: Son\'s 1st touchdown
This son is in 8th grade. This is his first year and plays middle linebacker.
Older brother is on freshman team. He is a fullback/wingback/outside linebacker.
