  1. Re: Best all around shotgun low budget I have a used (like new) 11-87 premier light contour...vent rib and 28" barrel that I'll sell ya! This gun is mint...its the older model that has the nice carving in the metal. I'd rate this gun at 98%...would be 100% if I didn't know it was used! Comes with all three chokes and hard gun case. Would like to get $575 +shipping if your interested....pm me.
  2. Re: opinoin on camoflauge I usally wear Hardwoods or Hardwoods green...however, I've seen some AP...may have to buy some new camo soon!
  3. Re: ohio gun hunt info After that CO trip...I'd look forward to flatland hunting...btw Don, these PA hills are really mole hills...lol.
  4. Re: Who\'s getting a deer mounted this year? Got an 8pt. in early Nov. archery season...got him back in Jan. Waiting for my elk that I got in CO as well! Wife wasn't real pleased with the taxidermy bill...lol IMO...there is no reason why a good quaility mount should take any longer than a year! The guy I use does it full time and tans his own hides...so if he wants paid and to eat...he gets them done. They look great and have no complaints...been in buisness for some time.
  5. Re: Electric dryer taking too long to dry clothes Although the lint trap gets cleaned everytime at our house...our dryer started doing the same thing. After checking everything....I found that lint over time built up inside the vent outside the house. Took the screen off of the bottom of the vent and cleaned out the lint....whaaaaalaaaaaaa!
  6. Re: TURKEY TEAM #29 How are you Mississippi boys making out? Been a few days since we heard from you all. I seen a few flocks...and some really good strutters the other day. The one place I can't hunt...the other, I'll have to stop in and see about permission. Still about a month away for us...but getting the ich now that the weather is warming up!
  7. Re: Para .45 Thats the key...it WILL go bang 14 times...15 with one in the pipe and without an eh! I have two Para's...P-12 and P-14...both great shooters and very reliable. I think $600 isn't a bad price...not great, but not bad for a used P-14. Just remember...the Para is the real deal...you can't throw it in the dish washer to clean it and then microwave to dry it like those cheaper plastic thingys!
  8. Re: ohio gun hunt info [ QUOTE ] snapper...you ready to come on over? [/ QUOTE ] Sure...I'm sure I can find something that goes boom that is allowed there! Heck, I'd even bring the string and stick during the rut?
  9. Re: Kyle Busch Wins Bristol [ QUOTE ] I don't think Miss Super Model needs Jeffy's money... [/ QUOTE ] Thats what they all thought about his first wife too...this time it will be child support as well! They made such a big deal about the COT...it was still a typical Bristol race. Congrats to Kyle and Burton for a great clean finish. Glad to see all the RCR cars finish well.
  10. Re: Appropriate High Fence Thread!!!! I have no problems with high fences if its what you choose to do. I did it once...had a good time, but really not for me. Since I did it....I can have a fair and equal opinion...most folks can't say that. They disagree with something without ever trying it or know what its about. If you want to hunt deer with dogs and crossbow...have at it...I will not bash or put anyone down for doing so. Keep in mind...these animals are bought like cattle...why is it ok to fence in beef and kill and eat it...but not deer that are bought like them?
  11. Re: ohio gun hunt info [ QUOTE ] You driving or am I, Snap?? 7mm STW's are legal in Ohio, right??? [/ QUOTE ] Ummmmm...I'm thinking the new suburban would make the trip nicely...lol And I think Ohio is a cocoa state...no magnums allowed (or rifles for that matter). But I could find a slug barrel or an inline for a hunt!
  12. Re: Poachers Gotta love\'m [ QUOTE ] but i must say it is hard to not go over the line when that turkey is gobbling just over the ridge. [/ QUOTE ] I disagree...if its land I don't have permission to be on...I don't cross that line...period! I think alot of these "poachers" don't know what its like to have land that you work, pay taxes, etc...they feel you don't own the game and heck with signs...chances of getting caught are slim. Very sad....hope your season gets better!
  13. Re: ohio gun hunt info Hey...is this an open invite? Me and Strut are only a few hours from the Ohio line...4 hours to Columbus!
  14. Re: Car of Tomorrow debuts this weekend.... [ QUOTE ] Afterall, how many actually notice it on the trucks? [/ QUOTE ] Your right...and if you took the decals off of that Chevy...would you be able to tell its a Chevy? Bottom line...Nascar hasn't been about "stock" cars for a very long time. Its about ratings and pretty boy drivers to get more fan base. Its all about the teen and twenty something girls wearing jr or Gordon shirts.
  15. Re: Lohmans #836 hot hen cutter mouth call My catalog shows the #836 as the split reed raspy mag. Hot hen cutter 2 is #828??????
  16. Re: New for the contest this year... Keep in mind that these contests are for fun...there is no real way to keep them fair and members honest...esp. when prizes are involved. Every year we would get a few that don't ever respond back to their teamates...leaving them feel like they were one member short and their team got screwed. We all live in different areas, do different work, hunt different terrain...we try to make the rules as fair as posible to please everyone....sorry we can't make rules to apply to everyone....wish we could. Keep posting and participating in the forums...you'll def. have enough posts to participate next year.
  17. Re: New for the contest this year... Its to cut back on new members that sign up for the contest and never to be heard from again. Their hopes are signing up and winning something but not participating. We have no idea who will and who won't participate...so we make the 50 post rule and ask for participation. Yeah it may exclude certain individuals such as yourself...but it isn't intended to exclude you...just the folks who won't participate.
  18. Re: Another ATV delima... Yeah I checked with the dealer for pricing...around here...the Grizzly is a little cheaper than the BF....not much to make a difference in my opinion. As for the Can am...yeah power is one of my main things...but price is a close second. The Can am is well over a grand more than any of the three I'm looking at. Plus, there are alot of Kaw., Yamaha, Suz. dealers in my area if I need service or parts later. Only one Can am dealer...and they already moved once in the past year...so I'm kinda leary of that. Not saying any one machine is better or worse than the next...I just haven't purchased or looked at new ATV's for years and trying to weigh out all my options. I guess my main question to everyone is...what would you look at? Brand loyalty?, Price?, Power?, other features etc...? To me, price and power are the main two concerns...which the BF wins...I also like the looks of the BF. And no, I haven't bought anything yet...maybe a little while yet anyways!
  19. Re: Another ATV delima... Thanks guys...the Artic cat was ruled out because of the ride. Compared to the Brute Force...the AC was much stiffer and rougher ride. It was actually cheaper than the BF I looked at...so it wasn't the price that steered me away. I looked at alot of different bikes...yeah the Grizz is different, but the air vents still aren't as high as the BF's air vents. All bikes with belt drive can and will slip if they get wet...I really dislike that...but thats the way they are. Yeah Honda's have a different trans...but I don't like the looks of a Honda. I appreciate everyones advice...however, I picked the three I picked because I already ruled out certain bikes.

    Tire sizes???

Re: Tire sizes??? First off...when did you get a '03 Suburban? Second...I don't know for sure about that 285 fitting without rubbing inside the fender well. My 2500 came stock with 245/65/16....I went up to a 265/75/16...but there would have been rubbing if I went up to a 285. Granted we are talking about different trucks...and rim sizes...but whatcha gonna do if you go home and they are rubbing?
  21. Re: My precious and beautiful wife, Linda, passed away Nothing I say can make it easier...just know that your not alone...we are all here if you need to chat. Thoughts and prayers from the snapper household.
  22. Re: To many hunters!!?? Sorry to hear of the pressure there...if it were me, I'd find somewhere else to hunt. Sounds like to me that someone is going to get hurt hunting that area, and I wouldn't want to be a part of it.
  23. Re: What is a good Deer Camera ? New to this... I bought a Wildview 3.1 mp...there are better cameras out there...but this one takes nice looking pictures and I paid less than half of the bigger name cameras.
  24. Re: PLease suggest concealed carry gun. If your not real familar with semi-auto and feel comfortable with a wheel gun...take a look at the Taurus model 44 Ten...5 shot .410 or .45 colt. Almost can't go wrong with 5 shots of .410 shot shells for self defense!
  25. Re: Metal or Polymer Frame? Steel...is my shooter guns...Alloy steel is my carry gun. I prefer metal over tupperware!
