Hate to hear the Rhino! Knock on wood, EHD hasn't had a big effect down here. On a side note, they sure are knocking some big ones down in Kansas at Hickory Creek Outfitters. Hope there are some left for me...LOL.

Checking in from Oklahoma! Still have two more weeks before I can get in the woods. I will be bowhunting only this year. Hope to tag out(6) in Oklahoma and put down a bruiser in Kansas(Nov. 2nd-6th). I was in Punta Cana two years ago this month. Loved every minute of it. We stayed at the Iberostar Grand Bavarro. Beautiful place! All inclusive trip so I did not go thirsty! If you get a chance to take some tours, I highly recommend the Bavarro runners. We had a blast driving around the countryside, touring tobacco and cocoa farms and horsback riding near old castles. We're actually leaving at the end of this month going to Costa Rica. Really looking forward to another getaway.

Been a Dodger fan since grade school(30 yrs). Yesterday really ticked me off. They're the NL Yankees. Could care less about being a "team". Now Matt Kemp is gone? Dee Gordon gone? And its not even January! Maybe Kershaw is next????

I'm still at it every weekend but only have two doe tags left. Of course all I'm getting shots at are bucks. Just booked a 6 day hunt in Kansas next year! Super excited about hunting another state. Hoping I'll be able to put my tag on 3 bucks next year!

Let's see it works this time. Here's the last buck I killed. Shot him on public bow-hunting only land nearby.

Well, my buck season came to an end last night. Was hunting some public land with a buddy of mine and this bruiser gave me a 5 yard shot that I couldn't turn down. Not the biggest I've killed but one of the most unique and biggest bodied. Good luck to everyone still looking to get on the board or upgrade!

Still out it down here. I've got 2 more vacation days and then rifle season starts. In the last 4 sits, I've seen a total of 2 deer. Makes for a long 16 hours in stand. Thinking about doing an all day hunt tomorrow, but I'm not sure. It depends upon how much movement I'm seeing. I'll take lunch just in case I decide to stick around. Worked yesterday and now I have the rest of the week off. This morning is off to a bad start. Wind gusts up to 20 mph. Still going, but doubt I see much movement. Nighttime temps supposed to drop into the low 20's this week. Hope to have some luck soon.

Upgrade: Team 2 11 Point Buck. The deer has a split brow tine on his left side and he also has two additional points coming off his left base. The shortest point is 1 3/4 inches long. See additional pic.

I've still got to take a pic of the tag and upload it, but here's the buck.

Harvested an 11 point this morning! Will upload pics and enter buck into contest Monday.

Just checked this morning and the trend continues..........low of 29 now!

May have our first frost Friday night. Will be in the stand for sure this weekend. Hoping to upgrade my doe 10 points or so!

I checked the weather channel first thing this morning(5:30) and the low Friday night was supposed to be 44 degrees down here. Checked again at 10:00 and it said 41. Just checked again at 3:30 and it says 37! Hope the trend continues.

Highs in the 60's this weekend and overnight lows in the the low 40's. I know northern Oklahoma will dip into the 30's though. Wish it would here!
