  5. Re: A Christian Hunter\'s Devotions and Studies He is risen....Hallelujah, he has risen. Some folks don't quite understand the significants of the resurrection. When Jesus was crucified, his followers, actually gave up on their pilgrimage with who they had believed to be their savior and basically were in the process of just going back their old lives and forgetting the whole thing. Their faith had been destroyed, along with their savior, because they did not yet comprehend, why he had to die. Christianity wouldn't even exist today, if Jesus hadn't revealed himself to them and 5,000 others after he rose from the dead. The apostles went from disciples, to deserters, and then back to disciples who were willing to follow him to their death, after he was resurrected. I find that truly amazing in itself, because down through history their have been many people who were willing to die for what they believed to be the truth, on a second hand basis ....but, the disciples where different in the fact that they walked with Jesus, talked with him, saw him perform miracles, saw him die on the cross, felt the disappointment and discouragement of losing their faith, and then being revived by seeing their savior, in the flesh, after his death. Then going on to spread the gospel, to their death afterward. He is risen, yes...he is risen

  10. Re: A Realtree.com Proposition Team Realtree Administrator Re: 2005 Realtree vacation meet ? [ QUOTE ] Perhaps a state park that has lodging. They are usually not that expensive and have lot's of open space. It is my suggestion that a map is looked at and the locations of the members. I know it can't be close for everyone, but it needs to be a central location. A good knowledge of where the majority of folks that could come would dictate this. You could print out a map, divide it into regions. As folks commit, mark where they are from. As those marks add up, you would get an idea of which direction to go with the location. That location would need to cheat toward the most populated group of users. The reason being is you need to make it easily accessible for the largest number of folks. I know that stretches it for folks on the other end, but it's the only fair way to do it. It would also be good to plan for a long weekend type trip, say Thursday through Sunday or Monday. This does two things: It limits the amount of time that has to be taken off from work and it gives folks who would have to fly a break (Saturday night over stays can cut a fair by as much as 1/4). On that same subject, you might want to have it in easy reach of a major airport also. This is not an easy thing. [/ QUOTE ]

  12. Re: Art Gallery Thank you, That colourful bird I mounted is a Rosella, from Australia. I know a guy who has an aviary, who raises birds for pet stores. Every once in a while he has one bite the biscuit, so I asked him to save me one to mount. They are beautiful birds eh. Australian Rosella The screech owl in the corner was found dead under a power box down town by my friend one early morning. I had to run up to Campbell River to get a permit to mount it. I was going to mount some starlings or grackles taking off from the branches in front of the owl, but never got around to it.
  13. Re: Art Gallery This was my very first decorative decoy carving. I actually went outside and picked up a block of wood from the wood-pile to carve this Mallard Drake. My sister-in-law owns it now and calls it Mona-Mallard. It now has a crack that runs down it's back because it was not a quality piece of wood. Pair of Goldfinches American Pintail Drake Here's my little corner, which is now in the back room...LOL. A few of my taxidermy projects as well as a few carvings. The wood-duck I did for my Wife.
  14. Re: A Christian Hunter\'s Devotions and Studies Jesus said in the Bible that if two or more are gathered in His name, He's there in the midst of us. I'll be praying too
  15. Re: A Christian Hunter\'s Devotions and Studies The Bible .. Many people believe the Bible was written by men..which is true only in the sense of who was holding the pen. It was by the inspiration of God that it was written. It proves itself, historically and prophetically. Here is a link some of you may find interesting. the Bible
  16. Re: A Christian Hunter\'s Devotions and Studies Yes Clay..it always amazes me when I see the Lord work in peoples lives. One man tills the ground, the other plants the seed, the other waters the seed and then comes the harvest. LUKE8:4-18 4 And when much people were gathered together, and were come to him out of every city, he spake by a parable: 5 A sower went out to sow his seed: and as he sowed, some fell by the way side; and it was trodden down, and the fowls of the air devoured it. 6 And some fell upon a rock; and as soon as it was sprung up, it withered away, because it lacked moisture. 7 And some fell among thorns; and the thorns sprang up with it, and choked it. 8 And other fell on good ground, and sprang up, and bare fruit an hundredfold. And when he had said these things, he cried, He that hath ears to hear, let him hear. 9 And his disciples asked him, saying, What might this parable be 10 And he said, Unto you it is given to know the mysteries of the kingdom of God: but to others in parables; that seeing they might not see, and hearing they might not understand. 11 Now the parable is this: The seed is the word of God. 12 Those by the way side are they that hear; then cometh the devil, and taketh away the word out of their hearts, lest they should believe and be saved. 13 They on the rock are they, which, when they hear, receive the word with joy; and these have no root, which for a while believe, and in time of temptation fall away. 14 And that which fell among thorns are they, which, when they have heard, go forth, and are choked with cares and riches and pleasures of this life, and bring no fruit to perfection. 15 But that on the good ground are they, which in an honest and good heart, having heard the word, keep it, and bring forth fruit with patience. 16 No man, when he hath lighted a candle, covereth it with a vessel, or putteth it under a bed; but setteth it on a candlestick, that they which enter in may see the light. 17 For nothing is secret, that shall not be made manifest; neither any thing hid, that shall not be known and come abroad. 18 Take heed therefore how ye hear: for whosoever hath, to him shall be given; and whosoever hath not, from him shall be taken even that which he seemeth to have.
  17. Re: A Christian Hunter\'s Devotions and Studies Praise the Lord Grant. You know buddy...the story you just told, is very familiar to me and many of us. I have, many times prayed to God, that he would put people in other peoples lives to share his truth with them, and for the Holy Spirit to speak to their hearts ...and I have seen God answer that prayer so many, many times. God knows when a man is searching for truth and is ready to hear it. Awesome Grant .

  22. "If you're coming into this Political Forum Room, don't plan on complaining about being offended" Even though we have an automated editing feature, I would ask everyone to please use appropriate language, instead of trying to get around the auto edit. Also, try to refrain from resorting to insulting one another personally, or appropriate action will be taken.. ...... Thanks folks
  23. Re: Buckee Thanks guys ..what an honor eh
  24. Re: A Christian Hunter\'s Devotions and Studies Something else I would like to add if I may. Even if we follow all the rules, speak in tongues, are prophetic, know Gods word inside and out and have not Love...we have nothing. Everything we do in the flesh is temporal, Love is everlasting
  25. Re: A Christian Hunter\'s Devotions and Studies iabow, I understood what you were trying to say. It's not easy sometimes to explain how works fit into a Christains life, even though it is Grace that saves us. Matthew 26:41 Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak. Paul explains our walk with Christ ,in Grace very well in 1st and 2nd Corinthians.
