  1. Re: target question You should be able to get it at any large building supply store. Just a little warning or should I say something to keep an eye on. Once you've shot your arrow through this high density stuff for a while you'll notice a build up of the stuff on your shaft (the vasoline idea might take care of that, have to try it). You can clean it off with very fine steel wool.
  2. Re: target question Hi texas, The blue stuff that they use around foundations and crawl spaces in construction is a lot denser than the strofoam your using. I think you'll like it, the arrows go about 1/3 of the way in, and stick out just enough to remove the broadhead and pull the shaft back out. You may want to get a few different thicknesses , until you find one that suits your set-up
  3. I'll have to try that vasoline idea, sounds good. I can't think of any easier way than what you have described, by pushing the arrow through, removing the broadhead and pulling out the shaft, other than getting a different target for your broadheads. I use two pieces of that blue insulation styrofoam, that you could probibly pick up at a construction site. They're about 2" thick, and last long enough to get your broadheads all tuned up. PHEASANT & CREAM 1 or 2 pheasants 1-2 eggs 2 tsp. salt 1/4 tsp. pepper 1/3 tsp.garlic powder pinch of sage,poultry seasoning & coriander 1/2 tsp. paprika 1/4 cup melted butter 1/4 cup vegetable oil(or olive oil) 1-11/2 cups of cream 1/4 cup diced onion sprinkle of chives(optional) 1 cup flower 1 cup finely chopped corn flake crumbs .. ..De-bone pheasant (removing tendons in thigh meat)and cut into nugget size pieces. ..Combine flower,cornflake crumbs &seasonings. ..Beat egg in small bowl and dip pheasant nuggets in egg. ..place egg covered nuggets in flower & cornflake mixture and coat well ..Brown pheasant pieces in butter and oil ..Place pieces in large baking dish with lid, ..Combine cream and drippings along with onion & chives in pan and bring to BOIL. ..Season with salt and pepper and pour over pheasant. ..Cover and bake at 325 degrees for 45 min .. ..WARNING ;This recipe is very fattening and should only be eaten by those who appreciate good food ---------------------- HAPPY HUNTIN
