For the love of Pete, get the terminology right . Got "what he paid for" . No one deserves a bad mount returned. From the looks of his mount he got a quality mount for an average price.

That's a nice looking mount. I really like the look. It looks to me that there was a scar there from fighting possibly and once the mount dried, it showed up as the skin stretched as you stated. Your taxidermist should be able to fix that. It will require gluing in and blending hair. No biggy for a qualified taxidermist.

Go to Home Depot or Lowes and get yourself some 2 part epoxy. It comes in a clear syringe. Some will say 5 minute epoxy and some will say 30 min epoxy. This is the stuff you want.

I am already seeing the small ponds around me ice up in the mornings. The water temps are where they need to be in order to have safe ice by Christmas.
