  1. Dont like. One the deer is not focused on the arrow. You should of modified the form a bit and also gave the deer a flehmen mouthpiece. From the looks of it, it looks like the deer was shot quartering towards the hunter.

Looks like the geese population from Canada is filtering through. Thousands upon thousands of geese flooded our area this past weekend. Our regular goose season opened this past Saturday and from what I heard it was a huge success for those who hunted them.
  3. Hey, that's great. Good deal.
  4. Good deal. Looks like you had better luck then us in NY this past weekend.

Seen ducks but the first weekend was one of the worst I ever had. Only ended up with a few mergansers.

    Euro mount?

Be careful with the stronger peroxide as you can get burned by it. Like someone mentioned above, try one of the kits.

Getting ready to head to the river. It's opening day. Quack, quack!
  8. Yeah ok. That's the most idiotic thing I have heard all week. What planet are you on? A taxidermist is a profession and is no different than an electrician, carpenter or plumber Now go and pass your formula on to them and see what you get back.

Well I hope they are moving good a week from this Saturday, cuz our duck season will be open by then.
  12. Yesterday I seen my first mile high flock of geese pass over.
  13. X2 Ya! Why'd you come here anyway.......lol
  14. It's $700.00 for this year. He will have no problem in getting that price. He is a master taxidermist and I I'm sure you know he also has a deer farm, next to the shop. Besides taxidermy and running a deer farm, he travels the country giving seminars to other taxidermists. Bill is know world wide. Everyone who is in the industry has heard of Bill Yox or has meet him.
  15. That's what I'm talking about. Good deal.
  16. I cannot believe what I just read from a person who calls themselves a taxidermist. First of all, no one gets rich doing taxidermy no matter what price they charge. I know a few award winning taxidermists that don't even have enough money in the bank to make ends meat and keep their business floating. You know, I know and a few others who replied to this thread know, that if you would have posted this type of crap on over amongst your piers on taxidermy.net forums you would have been ripped apart. And that’s a fact. But before I go any further I must know more about your mind set. It may just as well explain to me why you responded the way you did. 1) How old are you? 2) How long have you been doing taxidermy? 3) Are you self taught or did you graduate from a taxidermy school? 4) Where do you get your deer forms from? 5) How do you tan your deer hides? 6) Are you licensed by the state? 7) Do you have a federal permit to do taxidermy? 8) Are you insured against liability if someone gets hurt at your shop? 9) How many hours does it take you to complete a deer mount? 10) Are you full time or a part timer? 11) Do you belong to your state taxidermy association? 12) Are you a member of the National Taxidermy Association or the United Taxidermy Association? Without knowing some of your background I couldn’t possibly begin to respond to your post. It’s kind of like how I would respond to a 4 year old kicking his sister, then to a 18 year old kicking his sister.
  17. Was that a golf course ? That's a good load of birds.
  18. How much would you guys, pay for a shoulder mount? Whats your cut off price?
  19. hutchies, slow your roll dude. No one is going to ban anyone. Why would you get banned ? No one including I labeled you unethical. The only reason I jumped back on you and said what I said in my second post was because you totally mis-read and mis-interpreted my first reply to this thread as something it wasn't. All I did was offer you options that could help receover a downed or crippled bird.I said it would make me sick if I lost 10 birds a year, not that it made me sick that you guys loose 10 birds a year. So lets move on, shall we.
  20. Exactly. Re-read your post I quoted. You said yourself, it's either hit or miss and you don't get many cripples, and it was a lot of lakes. Now your saying it's the cripples that get away from you and it's because of one big lake? And I don't care how big the lake is your on. You sure as heck don't shoot across a 100,000 acre lake. Just like you called my post, I call it it as I see it.
  21. Good deal. Congrats. Our waterfowl season opens this Saturday in NY.
  22. Ever think of using an inner tube or fishing pole ? The inner tube I am talking about is the one fishermen use with chest waders. I have retrieved many ducks with the fishing pole method. A good hit duck will always fall within casting range. Loosing 10 ducks a year would make me sick and want to quit duck hunting.
