  1. Yea, I applied, but no love for me. Wasn't really expecting to draw.
  2. Results are to be posted at 10 am Mountain time today. Good luck to all
  3. Oh Man, I am jealous. Keep us posted on your prep work. Should be an interesting journey
  4. Third season sounds interesting. I will have 11 deer points next year and would def. consider do a combo. Unit 53 could work on that, last year it took 10 points for a NR to be guaranteed a deer tag. It is a unit I have been looking at for deer anyway, along with 66 & 67, but don't think I have enough points for a third season tag in them.
  5. Haven't decided if I will try or not this year. Set out last year as a protest, might do the same again this year. Good luck on that Gila tag, drove through there last year. Good looking country
  6. Arizona elk and antelope applications are due on Feb 9th. Here is a link. https://www.azgfd.com/Hunting/Draw Arizona has made a change this year in how they award NR tags. The no more than 10% is the same, but now only a max of 5% are in the max point drawing. The remaining 5% are in the random drawing. A couple of thoughts on this, previously if you wanted to hunt deer on the Strip or rifle hunt bulls during the rut and didn't have max points (currently in the 20's for both) you were out of luck. Now, if you apply with less than max points, you at least have a chance at the remaining 5%. The odds will be horrendous, but there is a chance. The second thought is that now that the second 5% is in the random draw, and NR's aren't guaranteed 10% of the tags, I am sure there will be some drawings where this change will just add an additional 5% of the tags to the R's. I can't really complain, as I have hunted both deer and elk in the past 2 years. Hope to do so again if a few years.
  7. Wyoming is due Jan. 31. Here is a link. https://wgfd.wyo.gov/hunting Got mine done this morning. Also applied for moose for the first time (have 6 points) both apps are long shots.
  8. I struck out in Wyoming. Saw a few small bucks, but nothing like what I was looking for. Now if I would have had an elk tag, there would be pictures attached to this post.
  9. WooHoo, we now have the secret weapon....Welcome aboard mrswtnhunt!
  10. Hi, My season starts in early October in Wyoming chasing Mule Deer. Hope everyone has a great year!
  11. Yea, don't worry about that Steve. We will make it work one way or another.
  12. Sorry you won't be there Steve. Was hoping to get to see you again.
  13. That sounds good to me Charlie. I think the Cement Creek camp was 2008. That's the one I wasn't able to make. I also like the thought of trying a different area. I like seeing new sites. I like the 2 years we have to plan. That should work good for everyone.
  14. Hey JJL, good to see you back on here. Sounds like you got the hunting part down, you just need to work on the killing part a little bit. Glad you and your family are doing well. Congrats on your son, that is some accomplishment. You should be proud.
  15. I spoke with Dan and am set up to hunt his place.
  16. They are up. I am heading to Wyoming this fall. Steve you going to be around on Oct 1? I took the hint you left me in the elk hunting thread you had last year.
  17. Wyoming deer and antelope results are supposed to be available in 5 minutes. (10:00 am MST on June 19, 2015) Good Luck to all, I am looking for a deer tag.
  18. Congrats! Here's to a successful hunt. Can't wait to hear the story and see the pictures
  19. Very cool. Congrats. I didn't even know such a thing as a muntjac existed. Euro should look nice, be sure to share some pictures of that.
  20. Oh man, that is awesome!!!!! That should be a great hunt, be sure and get plenty of pictures for us
  21. That's is what I saw also. I am not getting any bad news from NM this year, I saved my money and didn't apply in NM this year. Odds are just to tough and doesn't justify the cash outlay to me.
