Re: 30-338 I don't believe there's anybody that offers a factory loading for the .30-.338. I think it's always been a wildcat cartridge that's gotta be handloaded. External numbers (velocity and energy) on the round should be sub-.300 Winchester Mag..................probably on the order of the .308 Norma Mag. I can't say much about the price. Sounds like a customized piece. I guess a non-factory gun is worth what a guy's willing to pay for it. IMHO it sounds a little steep.

Welcome to the forums, there, PA RR!!!!!!!! ALWAYS cool to hear "turkey talk", ain't it??? Sadly, I'm still "deer-less". So I'll be up a tree on the opener. Haven't been seeing much turkey sign at all, either. But, who knows...........one may dumb under my tree. Hey........you two oughta check out the "PA Mini-Round-up" post at the top of the lounge page. Some of us PA boys are hooking up over some lunch this Sunday at noon. It may be a bit of a ride for you guys.........but it oughta be fun. Check it out.

Re: Camoing your guns (shotguns included :-P) Just whip out the Krylon and have at 'er!!!!!!! Actually it's not that hard to spray a gun once you decide it's for increasing the effectiveness of the gun as a tool. I've done a couple of turkey guns. They're starting to get a bit worn (the paint job, that is) and I'm looking forward to re-doing them...........better this time. But if you start with a bag of leaves and somewhat of a plan, you can do some pretty cool things.

Well, Slugger...............I can't say as I agree with all your reasoning...............especially the "democrats being better for the economy" thing. But we can debate that 'til the cows come home. But I do think you're doing the right thing by approaching the polling place with reason and logic. Not just a "he ain't Bush" or a "he ain't Kerry" frame of mind. I think that there may be quite a few "Kerry folks" change their minds after they pull the curtain behind them. I think a lot of them maybe for the same reasons you're considering it. Re: PA \"Mini-Round-UP\"????? Iron Buck............. Take 22E past Blairsville and catch 119N toward Indiana (lots of construction there). Run 119N 10 or 12 miles to the 422W exit (Kittanning). Take 422W a couple miles and take the Oakland Ave. exit . Make a right at the end of the ramp. At the 3rd light (Eat'n Park & Ruby Tuesdays) get in the left lane. Make the left turn and go two more lights. Get in the right lane at the 2nd light and swing down into the plaza there. Fire Mountain Grille is the first thing you'll see on your right.

One of the Democrats/Kerry campaign's latest scare tactics is telling moms and college kids Bush will reinstate the draft. Bush looked directly into the camera during the debates and said it ain't so. I tend to believe him. An "all volunteer" army is the best you can field. But in the same debates, Kerry said (on more than one occasion) that he'd add two more divisions to the army. Recruitments, right now, are way down.........naturally. So far as I know, the Army is not turning down anyone that can pass the required tests. So how's Kerry going to get 40,000 or so extra bodies into the Army in 4 years without instituting a draft?? Anybody??

Try to find somebody that'll loan you one before you go & buy one. I shelled out considerable cash to buy one when my Britt needed broken from chasing deer. If I remember right........I had to shock her a total of 2 times. Problem sloved. On a "cost-per-shock" basis, it was a pretty expensive deal. Wish I coulda just borrowed (or rented) one.
