I see a few familiar names in this thread. If it makes yall feel any older, I'm 26 now. Still lurking on the forums from time to time.

I've been back lurking a little bit lately. Surprised to see a lot of the same old names around here!

This just means we're all getting old. I've been on these forums over half my lifetime now.

I worked at Pizza Hut for a few years back in the day, so I've had my fair share of pizza. I typically just like a lot of meat and no vegetables. Pepperoni and chicken is great, and everything is better if you add bacon. My favorite of all time though is chicken, jalepeno, and banana peppers all chopped up real fine, use Franks Red Hot as the sauce and only light cheese on a very thin crust. Cut into small pieces and dip in ranch to eat. Amazing! As for your other question, think crust I like cut into squares, anything else is the normal pie-shaped slice.

Gonna be a rough season. Thought I'd add a few pictures for your entertainment. Here is my femur. I think I did a pretty good job of destroying it. And here's what my foot looks like these days. Pretty gross, eh?

It looks like I'll have a lot of time off work this fall/winter, but not for any good reason. On Oct 25th I was riding to work on my motorcycle and some lady decided she didn't want me on it anymore. She was in the oncoming lane and tried to turn left right as I was crossing the intersection and needless to say she smoked me. I guess I hit right at her drivers side headlights, got thrown off the bike and flew a good ways, landing in the grass off the shoulder. I guess I got lucky though, only ended up with a badly broken femur, torn ligaments in the knee, a huge cut down my foot and several fractures in my foot/ankle. If any of those impacts would have been on my chest or head, I may not be around to type this right now. I had surgery that day to put a rod down my femur, and a few screws to hold it in place. I have to wait for the cut on my foot to heal before I can get surgery to fix that, so it'll be a couple weeks. I've been getting around with a combo of crutches and a wheelchair. I still can't crutch very far without getting tired or light headed. I'm hopin I'll be gettin around well enough to make it out hunting a few times at least. We have trail can pics of 2 eight pointers on the property. I had all kinds of duck hunts lined up for this year, but some of them may have to be out on hold. So make sure y'all are postin plenty of hero shots this season, I gotta have somethin to look at if I can't get out there.

Recent pics of your ride
lil hunter replied to Shaun_300's topic in Vehicles and Hunting Transportation
This is the most recent one I have. I'll snap a better one of the truck soon. It's a 98 Chevy K1500. 17" Helo Wheels, 295/75/17 Cooper STT's. Magnaflow Exhaust. No lift other than 2" blocks in the back, and cranked torsion bars up front. Couple other odds and ends. I think the only thing different since this picture is tinted windows. Of course I like to show it off by towing Fords to the shop. -
That is awesome, but I'm kinda tired of seeing that Browning Buckmark all over the place. I bet they make more money off that logo than they do any of there products.

Yessir, thats the only way I've ever done it. We just threw chicken livers all morning.

This was the first good fishin trip I've had all year. Dad and I got into 'em good today. Figured I'd show off a few pictures.

Took a ride on the SS Wright a few months back. Floated from Baltimore to Norfolk, then down to around the Myrtle Beach area, and hung out a little ways off the North Carolina coast for a couple weeks. Other than that, I've just been on small fishing boats in the Atlantic when I was younger.

I drink the low carb one. Tastes like a cream soda, and only has like 20 calories or something like that.

Never thought I'd be in this situation, but I'm on the search for a deer rifle. I'd like to spend around 800, give or take a hundred for the rifle, scope, and mounts. I'm hunting in North Carolina this year. They have small deer around these parts so I really don't need too powerful of a gun. I was thinking like a .270, 25-06, 7mm08 or something similiar. I've mostly looked into the Ruger M77, and Remington 700 models. I've also heard plenty of great things about Savage and Weatherby, I just really know nothing about them. I've been completely out of the loop when it comes to hunting for the past couple seasons, and I'm finally gettin back into it. On another note, the only rifles legal to deer hunt with in Indiana is a rifle chambered for a pistol cartridge. If you have any suggestions for something in a .44, .357, or something similiar, let me know. I'm very interested in something like that too since I can take it home and hunt.

I bought the Bone Collectors cd the other day at bass pro, it's got a few good songs on it. Rhett Akins has several hunting/fishing related songs as well. They are just hard to find for free. Josh Turner's Backwoods Boy is good. Brad Paisley's Camouflage is a newer one thats good as well.

Peanut butter goes good with ANYTHING. It has been quite a while since I've had a peanut butter and honey sandwich, but it is definitely not weird to enjoy one. Peanut Butter was a pretty universal ingrediant back when I was at boot camp. Take some peanut butter, put it on some bread with whatever else you may have, and make a sandwich out of it. One of my favorites was a peanut butter and pasta salad sandwich. You should try it sometime.

I get called out for that on almost a daily basis. Don't know whats taking you so long to tell this person. They probably already know.

I drink coffee from about 6 am til lunchtime. Thats the only way I make it through a day... I usually see one or ten of these hover by. Theres a flight line no more than 100 yards from my shop, so it got annoying after the first week or two of being here.

I got a bb gun when I was 6. It was a Daisy Redryder. I still have it somewhere back home. Around the age of 8 dad had me shooting his old .22 rifle, then I got my first shotgun, a youth 870 20 gauge, at the age of 9. It was pretty rough shooting that gun with deer slugs at that age, but field loads and lighter shells were no problem. It's been a slow progression past that. I traded in that old shotgun for a regular sized 870 Wingmaster when I was 12. It's still my favorite gun. I hardly ever shot any pistols or centerfire rifles until about the time I graduated high school and started buying my own.

So I'm living in Eastern NC now and I'm lookin to get into some surf fishing. Already took one of dads rod and reel combo's for it, so I'm set on that part. Other than that, I really don't know what I'm doin. What kind of rigging do you all use? What kind of bait? We used to use live shrimp anytime they were available, but I have very little room for storage of my gear, so I'll probably just stick with frozen baits for now. Does time of day make much difference? Any other tips/advice?

Congrats on the bike! I used to ride a CBR, I've missed it since the day I sold it, and can't afford another one yet. Have fun, and watch out for the cars.

I'm needing a tool box for my Chevy, but I've never owned one before and never really looked into them much. I don't have any storage room in my barracks, so there will be tools in it all the time, and I'll probably have guns in there for multiple days at a time as well. Because of that, I need one that is very durable, and has a good solid lock on it. I really can't decide if I want one with a single lid, or a 2 lid model. Any recommendations on that matter? What brands should I look into or stay away from? I'd also really prefer a black painted or powdercoated box instead of a nice shiny polished one. I've heard of some brands having the paint strip off easily. Has anybody ran into this problem?

I barely sneaked past a few tornadoes yesturday. I drove about 120 miles to get a truck. About 30 minutes from Raliegh we passed one small town called Smithfield, about 10 minutes later I heard a report on the radio about it gettin hit by a tornadoe. There was another one not too far from base. I just saw a ton of emergency vehicles lined up on the side of the road, and about a half miles worth of power lines were taken down. It was too dark to see what kind of damage was done beyond that.

no, he can still ride in yours. lol You know that dog doesn't like trucks with a console in the middle anyway.
