Go to the community link at the top bar of the page, go down and click on Photo Post. It's realtree's own free hosting site. Very easy to use, just make sure your pictures aren't huge. After uploading, there will be a link displayed under the picture that you can copy and paste into a post.

Indiana lost basketball when we lost Bobby Knight. Football is all that matters these days.lol.

Two of the same guns with the same loads and chokes still might pattern differently. You'd be best off shooting a few rounds yourself.

I'm glad you had a good hunt in Illinois. Your weekend seems like it was better than mine. But next time your in Evansville, you better stick around for awhile.

I'm about the same. Seeing several small bucks, but nothing of any size. Of course my dad shot a nice buck with 12 scorable points last monday out of the stand I've hunted all year. I have seen 2 other 2 1/2 year old bucks out there that I probably will shoot, if I get the oppurtunity. I'm gonna hunt tomorrow evening and all weekend unless/until I shoot one.

lol those are good stories. Just for the record, the workers must ask if you want skim or whole milk, not sure of the reasoning, but thats what I've been told by people who work there. And just for future reference, never try there iced coffee. It's nasty.lol.

Team #13 -- Big Buck Crew
lil hunter replied to texastrophies's topic in Announcements & Online Contests
heres a pic of redryders buck. Since he failed to mention it, I thought I'd tell you all he shot it out of MY stand! lol -
Since I had school today, and dad(redryder) didn't have work, he went hunting. Of course he sat in the stand I've hunted since October with zero success at all, and killed a nice buck. I'll let him post up the story, but here's a pic.

Opening morning I saw 3-4 different small bucks, 2 fawns, and one decent buck chasing a doe. I couldn't tell how big the bigger buck was, all I ever saw was the g2's, and they were a good 7-8 inches long at least. Sunday morning I saw a doe, then just got a glimpse of a buck behind me. I think he was pretty small though. Then I saw another doe running from where I had just seen the buck. Fast forward to 11 a.m, i just read a text my dad sent me and when I looked back up, there was a nice 8 pointer walking broadside about 50 yards away. Unfortunately he was already past any shooting lanes I had, and he didn't stick around for long at all.

fardawg, I don't think I ever knew you but I've heard of ya many times from the other older members here. welcome back to the forums!

wow this thread brings back some memories. Spikekiller and his scrubmasters! That went on for quite awhile. Who remembers all the parady's that MCH(formerly mccurtaincountyhunter) use to post, that were making fun of other forum members? I remember there was one about snappers bad breath, to the tune of Don't Take the Girl. Then there was Welcome to Nicks Kitchen, to the tune of Welcome to the jungle. I think the first parody every posted was one comparing realtree to mossy oak, to the tune of the devil went down to georgia. Those were always my favorite things on here. speaking of MCH, he also use to have a "daily journal" that was quite humorous. It was all just made up stuff, and I loved it back then. Talking about swallowing a turkey call, then farting one morning to call in a Tom! lol. There was also the Great Racksio stories that were always funny.

The clips I bought said MSAR .223 on the package. They looked very similiar, so I just assumed they were right for the AR-15. I just did a search for MSAR on google and found Microtech Small Arms. They have there own assault rifles, and the clips on them look just like the clips I bought, except they are clear. I guess those clips are just a little different than the AR-15 clips and they don't fit. I'll probably just buy a few more locally, and return those the next time I get a chance. I bough the gun and stuff in Owensboro, which is about an hour and a half from here, so I dunno when I'll make it back down there. But oh well, I'm still excited about the new gun. I'll probably go shoot it after school tomorrow.

I had planned on buying an AR-15 for myself as a birthday present back in September. I never could get the time back then to go buy it, so I've just been saving up a little more money since then. I finally got the chance today, so we made the trip down to Whittaker Guns in Owensboro, which is about the best place in the world.lol. I was really wanting a Rock River standard A2, but they didn't have any. They actually had a very small selection of RR guns, but oh well. I ended up coming home with a Bushmaster A3 Target, which is a very similiar model. Can't wait to go poke some holes with it. I have a question though, I screwed up and bought 2 mags that don't fit this gun. All of their mags were just labeled "AR15, .223" or something similiar, so I assumed they would all work. Can anyone tell me what extra mags will work in this gun?

i've always heard that you should use an improved cylinder choke also.

the multi-quote thing wouldn't work for me, but bghunter was quoting someone else in his post as well. But I'm going to have to agree and say most of our generation does remain ignorant. I'm still in high-school, and even though only about half of the senior class here can vote, EVERYONE talked about Obama, ALL the time. Whether they like him or not, it was like being an Obama supporter was the cool thing to do. If I even mentioned McCain, I was suddenly a racist redneck. People were wearing Obama shirts everywhere, putting Obama stickers all over everything, it was rediculous. But anytime you would ask somebody why they would vote for Obama, it was because "McCain is just George Bush the 3rd" They couldn't say anything good about Obama, other than that he would change things, and they couldn't say anything bad about Bush, other than that HE started the war, and ruined our economy. I honestly got sick of listening to people at school talking about Obama all the time, chanting his name in the hallways etc. It really got rediculous. Out of everyone at my school, I can remember about 5 others who supported McCain. Thats out of a senior class of around 300 people. So yes, I would agree, my generation, at least here in Evansville, remains ignorant. Anyways, I voted for McCain. I'm still against Barrack.

Where do I even start? Like some of you other younger guys, I talked to nick it seemed like every night either in the chat, on AIM, or both. Everything he did he loved. He would defend his opinion of everything from beer, to trucks, to girls, to guns, to Nascar and whatever else. I always gave him heck for missing a deer at 9 yards with his old 30-06. He always got mad at me for that cuz his scope was set at it's highest setting, so he couldn't see anything through it. He also loved that Pabst Blue Ribbon. I had never even heard of the stuff until he talked about it, every single night.lol. I remember him telling me all kinds of hunting stories, stories about his family, stories about his friends, his truck etc. One of his favorite stories to tell me was when he almost fought a guy twice his size for peeing on his truck tire after a nascar race! He said his uncle had to tackle him to keep him from fightin the guy. Nick was always fun to talk to on here and on AIM. We had talked about meeting up several times, but never could make it happen. I'm gonna miss him being on here, thats for sure.

I live in the city. Evansville is the 3rd biggest city in Indiana, with a couple hundred thousand people living here. Many of my friends who still live "in" evansville, are at least out in the suburbs, where they don't have 30 houses and a highway within view of their backyard. I'm right in the middle of everything. The only thing I like about it, is that I have never been more than a couple miles from school, and work is only like 1.5 miles away. Other than that it sucks, and I'm getting outta here as soon as I can. So yes, I'm a city hunter.lol

I would probably try to go if it was close. I know theres WAY more people than this in Indiana on here, we could probably get a decent turnout.

Tragic news for the Realtree.com forums family
lil hunter replied to Team Realtree's topic in Lounge
Wow this is a such a shock to me. Like kyle(the_kat) i practically grew up with nick here on the forums. Talked to him all the time on here, in the chat, and on AIM. I use to even talk to his sister some. It's so crazy to think that he's gone now. We had always talked about meetin up sometime somewhere, but never did. This is just about the worst news I could have heard tonight. -
remind me not to date the daughters of any of you guys. except maybe tominator's, cuz I ain't skeered of him!

We haven't had one of these threads in quite awhile, and I have actually gotten some pictures taken of me recently so I figured I'd start one.lol. So post some pics up of yourself. I promise nobody will use them in any kind of photoshop images.lol Here are 2 of my senior pics. one in my jersey and one in camo, with my 870. And then heres a pic with my parents. Since my dad(redryder) probably won't post a pic of himself, I figured I would for him. His mohawk looks a lot cooler from the side, and if you can't tell from the pic, he dyes it blue for the games.lol.

around here it's known as crop dusting if you fart and walk away. I don't really have any good names for farts though, sorry guys.lol.
